Chapter 1
Izuku Midoriya was a boy constantly bullied for being quirkless throughout his life, only 20% of people were quirkless at his day and age and he was one of the unlucky ones. He had grown accustom to the insults and beatings provided by local bully: Katsuki Bakugo. His body became used to pain, but his mind was fragile. He was used to the insults and mockery that came at a daily basis, but what was about to happen, he couldn't have prepared for this. He walked down the tunnel an alternate route from home to avoid katsuki, He looked down at the burnt notebook courtesy of the explosion quirk user. His eyes were teary, especially after being mocked at the thought of a quirkless runt attending U.A a prestigious school at the top of the heroics department. Little did he know he was being tailed. Sloshing and muk could be heard from his back, but when he turned around to look nothing was there, He decided to shrug it off as he wiped his tears from his eyes and walk back home. Until he was engulfed in slime "Just give me 45 seconds Boy and it'll be all over" the villain said as he asphyxiated the poor boy. Izuku struggled as he grabbed onto the slime, despite it just flowing through his fingers like oil. His vision started to slip, as he looked towards the sky as he thought what his mom would do at a time like this. *SMASH* he heard bringing his thoughts back to earth after all the slime that was covering his body flew across somewhere behind him. It was allmight, He saw his inner nerd peeking out it's ugly head once more. "Are you okay Boy?" Allmight said with booming confidence and his signature smile. "Y-Yes Sir" Izuku managed to say after a moment of silence to comprehend that his favorite hero/ the top hero saved his ass. He quickly looked for his notebook to get an autograph but when he found it he saw that it was already signed. "T-Thank You s-so much A-Allmight this w-will be a family treasure" Izuku said while bowing down furiously. Allmight gave a hearty chuckle while he was scooping up the reminance of the villain, putting it in a soda bottle. "I-uhh I have a question actually" Izuku said trembling in his feet looking down to avoid Allmight a gaze. Allmight looked at the boy then suddenly coughed out blood
'SHIT'
he thought to himself as the he looked down at the trembling boy. "sorry kid but I've got to go" With that last statement allmight lunged into the air. Izuku grabbed onto him like his life depended on it, putting all his fears, doubts, and insecurities aside and just grabbed onto his heros pants. "H-Hey Kid this isn't a taxi service" all might said as he looked down to his legs: a kid clinging on for dear life. 'Shit I dont have much time left' Allmight thought to himself as he maneuvered his body to land on a nearby skyscraper. "Boy that was dangerous and very careless of you to d---" Before his last statement his entire body erupted into steam as the poor boy looked in shock. As the steam faded Izuku saw a skeleton of a man with messy long hair and clothes that look way, way too loose for him. "Uhh...w-where's allmight?" He asked the anorexic man standing infront of him. "You're looking at him kid" The paper thin man said as Izuku stiffened in place. "W-W-What!? You c-can't be" Izuku stttered as he looked towards the man with disbelief in his eyes. "You see those fat guys at the pool when they puff out their chest to look muscular? Yeah It's kinda like that" The skeletal allmight said before he started to head towards the staircase. "W-wait!!" Izuku shouted towards the man who got managed to get his attention. "A-Actually.....uhhmm.. Can I Be a Hero w-without a quirk!?" Izuku spilled out his emotions infront of the skeletal man. "Sorry kid but you'll just put yourself in danger." He said as he walked away from the crying boy. "Also, keep this a secret. yeah?" Allmight said before heading down the flight of stairs. Izuku bawled out his eyes with sorrow. He laid there on the cement ground in anguish that the number 1 hero told him he cant be a hero. 'I'm sorry but i just want to keep you safe' Allmight thought to himself remembering the fragile boy that just flat out cried infront of him. Allmight remembers the goopy villain in his pocket and checked if he was still there, He gave a relieved sigh when he saw the putred green encased in a soda bottle. "Now to put you in the slammer" he said to the villain as he walked towards the police station.
Izuku finally stopped crying when his body wouldn't let him anymore, and walked his way home almost in a drunk like state. "Mom, I'm home" he managed to say when he say after he entered the front door. "Welcome home Izu--" Inko (his mother) dropped her spatula when she saw a grimly familiar look in his eyes. Heartbreak. This look in his pupils was only present when she took him to see the doctor to reveal that he was quirkless. she quickly ran over to the boy and gave him a hug. "I'm so sorry Izuku" she said as tears started to trail her eyes and dampen the sleeve of his uniform. He managed to break away from his mother's hug when he ran up to his room, locking the door and throwing all his things to the bed. He turned on his Pc and watched his favorite video. A video that always seemed to help him when he felt sad, afraid, or lonely. He watched as allmight saved the people and children, tears started to infect his eyes once more as he heard those lines "Fear not for I am here". The tears felt heavier and heavier until they dripped from his face, his heart started to ache once more. He felt the world around him break into nothing as he heard the oh-so familiar words.
*Quirkless runt*
*Useless Bastard*
*Low Scum*
He covered his ears as the cacophony of anguish started to deathen his being. "I'm Not Useless!!" he screamed as he slammed his hands on the desk. He covered his wet eyes as the voices started dimming down to reveal something beautiful.
Leave me alone
He looked up towards the monitor as he widened his eyes to see that he accidentally clicked on a different video
Leave me alone
He looked towards the title, a lyric video for a band he hasn't heard of.
Go Away
"K-kitchen s-sink?" He whispered to himself as he stared deadpanned at the bizzare title
Nobody thinks what you think
He wiped his tears away, distracted from his sorrow to keep listening to this video as his eyes looked somewhat stable.
They will play a game and say: they know what you're going through
He smiled. It was a weak smile, but a smile nonetheless. His sadness was halted by music. Little did he know that his mother unlocked his door looking at a now smiling izuku
Don't leave me alone
She smiled at the boy knowing that he fixed his own sadness, she should have never doubted her son. She closed the door to let izuku enjoy himself for once.
