Thank you to the fan who took/sent this to me, capturing the moment my husband finally realized that his wife and son are sitting front row next to b stage. Side note the surprise went really well so thank you to everyone involved! Side note part 2: the only reason he looks so in love is because Jackson's screaming at his daddy to pick him up, nothing to do with me 😂❤️ tagged : @shawnmendes - @seanlove : omg how cute! "Dada!" He squeals loudly making the women next to me give him a dirty look
"I'm so sorry." I say calmly and she just nods shaking it off like she meant no harm
"How old?" She asks while Shawn prepares to sing roses
"Two but in June he'll be three." I say running my hand over his head trying to calm him down, he wants Shawn's so bad, he's such a daddy's boy I'm honestly offended
"So you and Shawn are married right?" She asks and I nod moving Jackson slightly so he has a better view of Shawn
"Mama mama!" I hear my son yell
"Hmm?" I say looking down at him
"Dada! Mama I wanna see dada!" Is all he can spit or before Shawn begins talking
"Hello Oakland!" Shawn screams in the mic making the whole crowd cheer including Jackson being he's only two and doesn't know what's going on
"DADA!" He screams louder than before making Shawn slightly look in this direction the whole audience quiet
"DADDY!" He screams waving his hands like a mad man causing people around me to laugh
"Wait wait wait!" Shawn says walking over to wear the sound was coming from bending down "Jackson?" He says in the mic causing the whole arena to irrupt in screams louder than ever before, Shawn finally noticing us he jumps off the stage making his way over to us
All the loud scream must have scared jack because he started to cry
"Shh baby it's okay." I say bouncing him on my leg
I hear the screams of the girls just down from where I sit so I know Shawn is close and before I can even finish my thought Shawn is standing in front of me hands on the barricade wearing a large smile
The smile soon disappearing when he hears the sounds of his son screaming and crying
"Come here buddy." Shawn says holding his hands out so he could grab Jackson from me
I quickly hand the screaming boy over to his father as his wails are coming through on the mic making the whole arena sound like a five year olds birthday party if he scrapped his knee
Instantly when he hits Shawn's strong chest hanging tightly onto his shirt the cries are no longer heard causing ever to scream and laugh
"There we go, you see buddy, daddy's got you." Shawn says kissing Jackson head and face all over causing him to irrupt in laughter as the whole arena coos "what are you doing here little man?" He asks his son slightly pointing the mic to our son
"M-Mama said we could go see daddy!" Jackson says shyly right after hiding his face in Shawn's neck
"Oh yeah?" He says kissing Jackson neck causing him to squirm in Shawn's arm
"Daddy!" Jackson screams
"Hmm?" Shawn says giving his full attention to his son
"Daddy's sweaty!" Jackson screams making Shawn laugh loudly into the mic
"Yeah? Daddy's hot right now!" Shawn says running his forehead sweat against Jackson making him squeak
"You wanna go back to mama?" Shawn asks and Jackson shakes his head quickly hugging Shawn around the neck grabbing onto his collar tightly "no? Guess not, he wants to stay with his daddy, his favourite parent!" Shawn says and I cross my arms
He's right.
"Any other day I would argue that isn't true but today? Today you are the favourite parent." I say smiling at my boys
"I have a performer on my hip tonight ladies and gentlemen, in about 20 years your kids will be seeing my son Jackson Mendes playing this amazing arena!" Shawn says making Oakland scream loudly causing Jackson to cover his ears making sure not to fall off Shawn's hip
"Find your way through the barrier honey," Shawn says to me and the entire arena screams since he called me 'honey' "I'm being screamed at by stage left that my show is going to go over if I don't start singing now." Shawn says and I nod throwing one leg over and the other keg following quickly before anyone could take any pictures
Shawn's already walking up the stairs of the b stage Jackson sitting clinging to him like a those thread
The melody for roses starts playing and I take a seat on the steps of the stage just watching my husband sing his heart out Jackson singing along to the best of his ability
"I'm not tryna start a fire, with this flame but I'm worried that your heart might feel the same and I have to be honest with you baby tell me if I'm wrong, and this is crazy but I got you this rose and I need to know will you let it die or let it grow?" Shawn sings moving the mic away from his mouth letting his fans sing as he kissing Jackson some more whispering in his ear that he loves him so much and how happy he is that Jackson is with him tonight
"I'm going to have to cut this show short tonight but thank you so much Oakland I love you! I will be back to make up for this very soon I promise! Thank you!" Shawn screams running off the stage grabbing my hand pulling my backstage letting Jackson run free to Brian
"UNCLE BRIAN!" Jackson screams causing brian to bend down and pick him up kissing him all over the face
"Baby," Shawn says to you giving you a strange look "you didn't tell me you were coming!" He says pushing me back against a wall
"It was supposed to be a surprise but Jackson kind of ruined it." I say shrugging looking into his hazel brown eyes
"God I fucking love you." He says his hands cupping my face
"I love you too, so much." I say pushing my head forward attaching our lips
We stand leaned up against the wall for five minutes enjoying each other's company using adult time to kiss while Jackson was occupied but it didn't last long
"Ew mama! Ew dada" Jackson screams causing me to sigh
"Don't worry he can stay with Brian tonight!" Shawn says biting my lip slightly smirking "god the thing I'm going to do to you tonight." He says bouncing off me turning around picking up Jackson kissing him
"I missed you little man!" He says and for the rest of the time we just spent quality family time together, Shawn and Jackson really needed it, and for the rest of the night Shawn showed me how much he loves me, a lot.
