dan grinned slightly as he pushed open the doors to his home. his grin faltered a little as he realised something was off.
he could hear something.
he could hear phil crying.
"phil?"
silence. then phil came out of his room, smiling, as if trying to convince dan that he is okay even though dan could see the puffiness in his eyes and how his nose was red.
"you okay?"
"yeah."
another silence. it was too suffocating.
"the walk was nice."
"cool."
they looked at each other, their gazes meeting, brown ones and blue ones.
then dan broke it, walking to his room.
