You look over and stare at Thorin as he stares at the lonely mountain. "Excuse me Miss. If you don't mind me asking why are traveling with dwarves, you look no older than me?" You hear and turn to look at the sweet-faced boy, Bain. You were really starting to get tired of this question. You were hungry, cold, tired and wet and he wanted to know why you were with dwarves.

You pull your attitude together and answer "It's a long story that I'm afraid I'm too sleep deprived to tell. I'm sorry. And I guess you could say we are around the same age I'm (15/16) years old." You already knew he was sixteen.

"I'm 16 years old (too). Well, I'm sorry I bothered you. I'll let you rest." He said.

"Don't worry. You weren't a bother." You say slightly blushing at his politeness. He nods and walks away.

" You like him don't you, young one." You roll your eyes at Balin's somewhat question. He noticed your blush.

"I have no idea what you're talking about. Pops." You respond using the nickname you gave him.

You sit and wait at Bard's home for the dwarves to get back from the weapons tower. "This is stupid! Those stupid dwarves are going to get caught!" Bard yells.

"I know." You say so nonchalantly it shocks him. "Well, I do know." Noticing his shock.

"How do you know, Miss?" Bain asks cautiously.

"Well, where I'm from there are movies and a book about middle earth and the dwarves of this company. I know what will happen before even Lady Galadriel would know. And for the last time Bain we are (around) the same age you don't have to use 'miss' when addressing me." You respond and then realize none of them were really listening they were trying to figure out what a movie was. "A movie is sorta of like a play."

"Oh, well that explains why you've been so calm and have stayed alive this far into your journey." Bard says with a look of understanding and a little sympathy.

You were currently stuck looking after a band of drunk dwarves. This was tiring, keeping an eye on all of them, well except for Balin, Dori, Thorin and Dwalin who at least had some composure. Bombur had broken two tables so far, Nori was stealing whatever silverware he could try to and fail to discretely hide. Bofur was busy dancing and singing his heart out. It was like watching over nine 5 years olds. About a few hours or so later, you don't really know how long but more importantly everyone was finally asleep.

*Time skip*

You were sitting in Bard's home worrying about the well being of Kili who was in agonizing pain. He was so pale. You knew he wasn't going to die just yet but it hurt you to see him like this. You two had become good friends and him and his brother adopted you as their little sister. So it sorta pained you to see him going through this.

Finally, Tauriel shows up and heals him. "I knew you'd come and heals him." You say sort of smug.

She shot you an 'Oh really' look. "Yes, I did know because you love him." And you walk off before she can respond. You laugh at yourself because old habits die hard. Back home you're known for always playing Cupid. You're friends always protested to it but they loved it. You miss your friends and family and know they probably miss you but you knew that even if you couldn't go home you had a new family who would take care of you.
