A/N:So I'm skipping the Dragon sickness(too much angst for my sensitive self yo write). This is after BOTFA , everyone lives. Lady Galadriel could not find a way to get you home so Thorin adopted you, and you are now the princess of Erebor.Fili is still heir. This is just pure fluff, some flustered reader and some family love. This is a Bain x reader pairing.

"So lass, are you ever going to tell us how you knew how to save us?" Thorin asks again for the fifth time that week.

You look over to Gandalf and he nods. You explain to Thorin and the rest of the company about our world, the Hobbit book and movies. They look at you in awe. " So you mean to tell me that in your world our lives are a bedtime story?" Balin asks.

"Pretty much. I mean it depends who you ask. Personally it's not just a story to me cuz I'm a fangirl. It's a way of life. I mean...." You say before you are interrupted.

"I don't mean to be rude by interrupting you but what is a fangirl Y/N?" Bilbo asks

"Umm well...." You start to explain fangirling, fanfic and ships and all that jazz.

Everyone is just staring at you in complete and awkward silence. "So did you ever write fanfic about us?" Bofur says.

"Well ummm." You say, not really knowing what to say you just tell the truth. "Yes."

"Could I read some of your writings, Y/N?" a sweet and small voice says.

You look over at Ori and say "I'd be honored my dear scribe, but I'm sorry to inform you that I have none with me."

They all look at you and Dwalin says "You'd think someone who's as smart as you claim to be would just write another one."

You look over and say "I have no desire to write. And I have no inspiration for a story."

"Really, because I distinctly remember you would never be quiet for you always had a story you made up to share." Thorin says looking really smug.

"I had inspiration then. I don't now." You say.

Then something unexpected happens, Balin stands up and says "Well I bet you would find inspiration in that nice lad of Bard's. What was his name again? Bain."

You sit there wide eyed and blushing. Balin was the only one who knew you had a crush on Bain. You never took Balin for one who'd do this, maybe Bofur or Dwalin or maybe even Thorin but never in a million years did you think that Balin would ever stoop this low. "W-what do you mean by that? What ever gave you such a preposterous idea?"

"Y/N don't try to act as though you do not fancy the Prince of Dale." Thorin says "I observed the way you acted when we stayed with them in laketown."

"Uggh you all are insufferable." You roll your eyes.

"But you love us." Kili says smiling.

"That I do, guys, that I do, unfortunately." You laugh out.
