A/N: Here's a little extra. lol. See what I did there? Umm, forget I made that pun. This happens somewhere between the last and the second to last part. Also, I based most of what the reader goes thru from the stuff my mom went thru during pregnancy (i asked her lots of questions), but remember every woman's pregnancy is different. And since this takes place on the movie timeline, I made Kiliel canon.

Summary: Spending the day with your aunt, Dis, and your cousin, Tauriel quickly becomes a life-changing moment.

Warnings: Pregnancy, might be crappy, fluff, there is a trigger in here at the end (just a heads up)

Pairings: Aunt!Dis x reader, Adult!Bain x wife!reader, Tauriel x cousin-in-law!reader

You had a scheduled 'girls day' with your adopted aunt, Dis and your cousin's wife Tauriel. The three of you schedule these days back and forth between Mirkwood, Erebor, and Dale. Today, the two of you were to meet in Dale. You had the cook prepare a special lunch of Y/F/F, and a nice picnic and walk planned because it was so nice outside. The two women finally arrived and greeted you with a warm smile and hug. "Y/N, dear. How are you?" Dis asked.

"Yes." That was a lie of course. You weren't okay, you actually weren't feeling well, but you weren't going to let them know that. You were going to keep up the facade that you were feeling your absolute best. For the past few days, you've been nauseous, throwing up and getting these weird cravings. You started to speculate sickness, but that didn't explain the cravings. 'It must be PMS.'

This lie didn't get past your aunt tho. She helped Thorin raise you, she knows you as if she would know Fili and Kili if not more. The three of you took your walk and talked and talked and talked. Tauriel was talking about her and Kili's children, and Dis talked about any and everything.

*Timeskip*

You were all sitting around eating and you couldn't bring yourself to eat what was in front of you. The smell was absolutely nauseating. "You're not going to eat anything?" Tauriel asked.

What you didn't know is your husband, Bain, had asked them to find out what was wrong with you. You had been acting a little out of the ordinary. They could tell you were pregnant, it was a woman's intuition.

"So have you and Bain decided on giving us some little rugrats?" Dis asked. (real smooth, not.)

You choked on the water in your mouth "What?!?" you sputtered out.

"Yeah! Y/N, what about it?" Tauriel asked

"Where did this come from?" you inquired.

"Nowhere in particular. Just girl talk." Dis answered.

You all kept talking about this subject until you threw up all over the table. Embarrassed, you ran to the healer, with the two women in close pursuit. The healer examined you, and before you could ask him any questions Dis pushed him out the room and interrogated him. She came in and the healer went off. Tauriel looked at her expectantly and she nodded. You looked at them confused and asked "Is there something wrong with me? Am I going to die?"

"Depends upon how you look at it and no."

"What does that mean?!?"

"You're pregnant," they said simultaneously.

"That explains a lot." you said thinking about the past few days "Now I have to tell Bain." you half-huffed.

"No, you don't." She said matter-of-factly "I sent the healer to tell him, for you."

"What?!?"

"You'll thank me later. My mother did this for me when I was pregnant with Fili. It takes a lot of stress out of things"

You gave a look.

"Okay, maybe not, but I know you would make it so much harder for yourself if you had to tell him."

You sat there waiting. You heard a commotion outside, it sounded like running. The two women smiled and stepped outside letting Bain in. "Y/N. I heard the news!" he embraced you. "This is wonderful! We'll make this day an official holiday!"

You were relieved, you weren't going to tell him you thought you'd get a negative reaction, being raised by Thorin his stubbornness rubbed off on you. Approximately nine months later you gave birth to a beautiful baby boy which two of you named Bard II after your deceased father-in-law, King Bard.

Extended ending

"So why is this child named after Bard and not me?" your father asked, trying to hide his jealousy.

You giggled at this, and he shot you a look. "Y/N named him. I had nothing to do with it."

You gave him a 'really?' look. "Just gonna throw me under the bus like that Bain. Geesh. I thought I was loved." you say feigning hurt, trying to suppress your laughter.

"Listen Adad. We will name the next child after you. Is that better?"

"What if it's a girl?" he asked after thinking about it.

"We'll just have to get creative, now won't we?" you answered laughing.
