Gwen layed in bed, she couldn't bare turn around and see the empty spot.

He should be here.

Tonight was like any other night, they'd argue, he'd leave, then come back after a few hours. But it had been 5 hours since he left.

She stopped calling after 3 hours, realizing he didn't want to talk. But him not being there with her, meant he was out with someone else.

The thought alone made tears swell in her eyes. She knew why this was happening, why their relationship was falling apart.

All because of some dumb mistake that she made, two years ago.

Tears rolled down her cheeks, she loved him.

But deep down, she knew he didn't love her.

Three Hours Ago

Duncan chugged his last beer, "You owe me man!" He said to the tall dark skinned man next to him.

The man rolled his eyes, "Whatever dude." He took out 40$ and handed it to the delinquent.

"Ha! Duncan does it again!"

Dj, "You're so drunk."

Duncan furrowed his eyebrows, "I am, not! You, my friend, are drunk." Duncan pointed at the Dj.

"I haven't drank since I was 16, but alright."

Duncan shook his head, "Man. I love you, Dj." He punched Dj's shoulder.

Dj chuckled, "Lets get you home."

Duncan shook his head, "No. I don't wanna go home Gwens gonna yell at me. I'll walk to Geoffs."

Dj rolled his eyes, "Geoff isn't even here. California, remember?"

Duncan laughed, "Well. I have a key. I'll see ya later, bunny man."

Before Dj could protest, the drunken delinquent was gone.

Fortunately for Duncan, Geoff lived across the street from the bar. When he finally got to his apartment though, he realized that he forgot the key at his apartment.

Duncan groaned, "Damnit."

He looked around, trying to figure out what to do next.

Then finally, he came up with an idea.

"Princess? Princess wake up! It's me, Duncan. Or Ogre. Princess? PRINCESS!"

Finally the angered brunette opened the door, "What the hell do you want?!"

Duncan smirked, she was only wearing oversized t shirt and underwear.

"I'm very drunk. I also don't have a ride home, was gonna crash at Geoff's but forgot my key. Mind if I stay here?"

Courtney eyed the man before her, he was almost too drunk to stand up.

She rolled her eyes, "Fine. But don't puke on my floor."

Duncan nodded, "Sure thing gorgeous."

Courtney quickly turned back to face him in shock, only to find passed out on her couch.

He looked so, peaceful.

His hair was a complete mess, and he was passed out like a baby.

She sighed as she walked to the closet and grabbed a blanket and pillow for him.

She put the pillow on the ground and put the blanket over him.

"Princess?" He groggily said as she walked away.

"Yes?"

"Thank you." He said as he pulled the covers up and warmed himself.

Courtney smiled as she walked away.

When she walked back into her bedroom and shut the door, she let out a loud sigh.

She was just helping out a friend, nothing more.

It's not like she has any feelings for him.

Right?
