"Morning Sunshine."

Courtney smiled and cuddle up to his warm chest, thinking she was still dreaming.

She shot her eyes open as soon as she felt his hand wrap around her.

"Duncan?!" She sat up, not being completely aware she was now straddling him.

She began to hit him, "You disgusting, weirdo, freak!"

Duncan put his hands up, "What are you doing?!"

Courtney stopped then calmed down.

"Enjoying the ride?" Duncan smirked.

Courtney's face went red as she looked down and realized she was sitting on him.

"You're disgusting." She said as she got off of him and walked to the bathroom.

"Says the one who was straddling me."

Courtney scoffed, "Oh please. You were the one who was cuddling me."

Duncan smirked, "Really? Because last night, you were the one who fell asleep on me. So technically, I was not cuddling you."

"Oh shut up!" She turned around and walked into the bathroom.

As she was peeing she couldn't believe she had just gotten into an argument with him over cuddling.

Let alone, she had just woken up cuddling him.

She loved the feeling of being so close to him, strangely. Like it was where she needed to be.

She walked out of the bathroom, "Also me falling asl-"

She stopped when she saw he was on the phone, clearly looking irritated.

"I just needed space, is that too much to fucking ask for?"

"Look can we talk about this later? It's too early and I really don't feel like fighting."

"Why does it matter? It's not like you fucking really care anyways!"

He got up, still on the phone and walked into the outside hallway.

Courtney knew how he felt, to be cheated on then lied to about it. She knew what pain he was in, and she knew how much he needed her right now.

Duncan walked back in and sighed, "I'm sorry about that. Gwen called."

Courtney nodded, "I know."

The two remained in silence for a while, until Courtney spoke out.

"Hey, um. I know this doesn't really matter since Geoff and Bridge are coming back soon but, you can stay here I guess whenever you need to."

Duncan nodded, "Thanks."

He walked over to the couch and sat down.

Courtney looked at the clock.

10:32

She chuckled, "Little early to be sad."

Duncan smiled, "Yeah."

"Do you want some breakfast? I can make some pancakes or waffles if you want."

He shook his head, "No I should probably go back to my apartment. At least change and shower. But thanks."

He got up and put his shoes back on.

Courtney watched as he walked out of her apartment, she couldn't believe how the morning had changed so quickly.

One second they were arguing about cuddling, then the next she found herself allowing him to crash at her apartment whenever he couldn't stand his girlfriend.

She knew she was being stupid for caring about him.

But something about him,

made it feel right.
