Courtney marveled at the beautiful sunset before her. It had reminded of her of when she was a child, watching the sunset with her father.
Except now she was with her new daddy.

She inhaled the fresh air, she couldn't believe how amazing her life was.
She already had a job at a law firm, a decent size apartment, amazing people in her life, and of course.
She had him.
She looked over and admired the tall raven haired teen next to her.
He noticed her staring and looked at her, "Liking the view." He smirked.
Courtney rolled her eyes, "Sure."
He continued to smirk and he walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her.
It was cold out, and even though she had on a sweater, nothing warmed her like the feel of him.
"Do you ever think about leaving?"
Duncan smirked, "Every time you yell at me for leaving the seat up."
Courtney let out a small laugh and playfully hit him, "Not leave me, stupid." She turned around to face him. "I mean, leave here. Like travel or something."
Duncan shrugged, "Sometimes. Sometimes I just wish I actually had the money to go to Greece and just, escape."
Courtney nodded, "Me too." She turned to face the sunset again, and leaned on the railing of the bridge. "I love my life, I really do. But I feel like there's more out there, I don't want to be in the same place for the rest of my life like my parents."
She admired the sky that shined across the lake, "I wanna live."
Duncan came beside her, "I know what you mean."
The two were in silence, that was until a small lightbulb went off in Courtney's head.
"Have you ever been to Spain?"
Duncan looked at her and laughed, "Why would I have gone to Spain?"
Courtney shrugged, "I don't know, but would you want to?"
Duncan smirked and pulled her closer to him, "Why would we go to Spain?"
Courtney smiled and rubbed her hands through his dark hair, "Because I also want you to meet my parents."
Duncan gave her surprised look, "I would love to princess, but where are we gonna get the money for New York and Spain? Why do your parents even live in Spain aren't you Canadian?"
Courtney got closer to him and she stared into his gorgeous eyes, "My parents would buy the ticket, and i'm mixed. They moved to Spain right before I moved into Bridge's apartment complex. Didn't I tell you that already?"
Duncan pushed her bangs out of her face, "Told me you were mixed, but not the rest. Babe I don't want to ask your parents for money."
Courtney shrugged, "Its not asking. Duncan, please? For me?"
Duncan thought about it for a moment, he knew it wasn't right to take money from someone's parents. Especially not from the girl you plan on marrying later in life's parents. But it would make her happy, and that's what she wanted.
"Okay."
Courtney smiled, "Really?"
Duncan gave her a smirk, "Yeah. Maybe we can take some salsa lessons before we leave so I can impress your parents with my awesome skills."
Courtney rolled her and pulled him in for a kiss, the sun had officially gone down and she couldn't believe how quickly the night changed.
Once she pulled away, they began to walk along the bridge.
Duncan had his hand on her lower back and Courtney was snuggled up to him.
"We should move to Spain." She joked.
Duncan smirked, "Well Princess. Doesn't matter where we move to, because if i'm with you, i'm home."
The two continued to walk along the narrow bridge, he was right.
It didn't matter where they were, if they were together, it was home.

the next book will not have as frequent updates, since school will be started and it's also my first year of highschool so i'm gonna try to update as much as i can without becoming overly stressed ? if that makes sense lol
