someone once said that kids drown in silence
when they realize that the water is too deep
and they are too tired to keep swimming
they let go,
they don't even try to float anymore
well in my mind, I'm a kid
I got out on too deep water
and didn't realize what I put myself through
I barely knew how to swim
and I drowned
I let go
but no one looked closer
because if the would have
they would have seen me
sink to the bottom
into infinity
I drowned in silence
and no one saw
that I didn't scream or fight
at all
