Life as a reader is dull.
All the stories on the bookshelf
are much more exciting than your own.
They contain so much love and adventure;
School and a job simply cannot compare
to the lives between the pages.
Though I hope one day I'll encounter
someone to share my story with,
the days pass me by so fast.
I'm trapped in my words
and cannot escape on my own;
The world is scary for a mind like this.
And so I'll lie,
hidden between the pages,
until someone pulls me free.
