Jenny's POV: Upon returning to the castle the maids hurried me away from Basil and the others splitting us up into different rooms. The maids helped me into a beautiful golden dress with cherry blossoms lining completed with a blue sash , before making our way to the throne room. Just before leaving the room I notice a blue dress with a red sash laying on the dressing table.

I wonder for some time now where he got that dress...
" your highness it time to go" a maid whispered next to me " yes I know let's continue " Walking down the hall to the throne room was when my eyes landed, on my friends all dressed up " Jenny!!!!!" Olivia cheered running towards me , the guards where not so understanding as they raised their sword towards her " please lower your swords she is no danger to me" I said lowering myself to Olivia level pulling her up in my arms and spinning. Her giggle filled the hallway " your highness the queen has requested your present immediately" a guard said next to me. " of course I'll see you all in there"
~After the knighthood~ Once the ceremony was over we made our way to my living quarters to celebrate. Grabbing a glass of Champagne and clearing my voice to grab everyone's attention.
"Congratulations Dawson , Basil I hope for many more great adventures to come your way in the service of our country. Cheers everyone"
We all clinked our glasses reaching down for Olivia with her glass of orange juice before taking a sip. I cast my eyes over the crowded before the landed on Basil in the corner on his own , with a sad experience. Making my way over I saw Dawson do the same making is meet in the middle
" so what's the next adventure boys " I said trying to lighten the mood when I got no response that when I turned one of the guards
" guard why don't you give dr Dawson, Olivia and her father on a tour of the castle there are things I need to discuss with Mr Basil"
" yes ma'am"
"Basil ?"
" yes"
"Basil why did you give me that dress? , what made you change your mind that time ?" I asked in a soft voice
" it doesn't matter" he replied
" yes it does who's was it , you don't expect a fine gentlemouse to have a very attractive dress lying around-"
" it was my mother's " he replied quickly , I remained silent
" I gave you that dress to show you the importance it means to me , just as much as you do "
"Basil..I-" " it alright my dear you know as well as me that this will never work between us"
" Basil that not-"
Suddenly Basil grabbed my arm holding me close , as the tears began to escape.
"I do not wish to leave you Basil" I sobbed quietly " neither do I my beloved " he whispered

I held on to him tightly as the tears flowed, but he weakened my hold putting distance between us once more.
" farewell your highness " Basil said before bowing and leaving the castle.
I broke at this point the tears flowing down my face, I didn't notice the queens arrival
" child dry your tears and cheer up " I scarpered up whipping my face to face the queen " I cannot your majesty, for I have no reason to smile for anymore" I said with my head cast to the floor " you really love this man do you not ?" " yes your majesty...... with every fibre of my being "
" then go after him...." " wait.... what?" " go after him, be with the one you love for a love that strong cannot be forgot. Go"
" thank you your majesty " I Curtsied before making a dash for the door
