'You're....g-gay?' I stuttered

'Yes. Why?' He asked

'Not that I have a problem with that, it's just. That was so unexpected' I answered

'I like to watch Disney movies. I cry at them. I style my hair. I wear powder. What's not to expect?' He explained

'No-nothing' I said then pulled my hand away 'I'll just go back to my seat!'

'Sure, catch you later!' He said

Oh my gosh! I can't believe it. I wasn't expecting anything like that. I walked up to Grace and she held my hand

'It looked like you've seen a ghost. I don't think that he rejected you that bad' She said

'Oh yes it's bad. He's gay. I totally have no chance now' I said

'He is?' She asked

'Yeah.' I answered

'Oh, so that answeres everything!' she exclaimed

'Answers what?' I asked

'He putting on powder, Disney movies, duh?' She answered

'You've seen him apply make up?!' I gasped

'Yup. I thought it was just some kind of drama thing' She explained

'He doesn't do drama!' I said with an "are you crazy" tone

'Opps, my bad' She said smiling

I just can't believe it. My love life is literally going down hill. At least I still have my family and friends. Me, Grace and David are walking up to our last double lesson when we bumped into

Mahalia.

'Hi Mahalia!' I said waving

'Hey! I'm so sorry I didn't have time to update you 'bout the park!' She apologised

'Oh yeah! No worries!' I replied

'Coolio! So can you come to my party?' She asked handing out invitations

'Uhm, thank you!' I said opening my card 'A masquerade?'

'Yup, hey you're the new kid right? Yeah, you can come too!' She said handing David an invitation.

'When will this be?' Grace asked

'Saturday, be there okay?' Mahalia answered

Alright, everything would be cool. At least I would be wearing a mask.

It's Saturday and I had a panic shop with my mom, I totally forgot about Mahalia's masquerade party. Good thing I found this white cocktail dress that was on sale in my favourite clothing store. And luckily we reached the jewellery shop near our house and I managed to find a white eye mask, it was full of glitter and it totally matches my dress. Since my dress is white and a bit too short I matched it with white stockings. I finally finished dressing up and my mom applied a touch of make-up on my face. After putting on everything I looked at the mirror. I looked weird.

'You look like an angel!' My dad said

'An extremely white angel, can I have something not white?' I asked

'Of course, wear black flats' My mom said picking up my favourite black flats

'That looks, a bit better' I said

'It's not yet finished' my mom said, she came behind me then pulled on a black belt. Then she pulled my hand out and made me wear black gloves.

'Uhm? Alright. Now I look like a dalmatian' I teased
