When Nico first met Percy, he immediately developed feelings for him. This was all very strange for him, and he didn't know how to act. So young Nico, settled for asking him a lot of questions and being annoying so Percy wouldn't suspect anything. Time passed, and Nico realized this was a one-sided love so he gave up on Percy, and since he had lost Bianca, his only option was to be alone. It was the only way to not suffer any more heartbreaks. Nico always liked Percy, and he managed to keep that secret hidden from everyone except Jason, when they were with Cupid. Percy was the only person Nico loved, and he sadly couldn't receive the same love from him.
