CLOSING STATEMENTS:

About five years ago, I was sleeping on my grandmother couch, watching Meet the Robinsons with my younger siblings. I ended up falling asleep and when I woke up I instantly had the idea for, "Resisting the Alpha." True story. It crazy how ideas will come to your head at the most random times. Never did I think a nap on my grandma's couch would turn out to be all of this.

Anyways I wanted to create a character who wasn't so cookie cutter clean. Someone who was mean, imperfect, a bitch to be quite honest. A lot of people referred to Ellie as a bitch, and to be clear, she knew she was and so did I.

A lot of people consider this a bad trait, I don't. I personally loved that about her, she was unapologetically Ellie, whether you liked it or not. To be quite honest personality wise, I'm a lot like Ellie, I can sometimes come off as being mean or a bitch but when you really get to know me you will find out that I really do have a good heart and so does Ellie no matter how much she tries to hide it. 

I also wanted to create a story where a man had to change his view on women's roles and cater to her other than the other way around. Noah did all that and more he never gave up on Ellie no matter how difficult she was. He's actually my favorite Alpha out of all my stories (not character, I love them all). He always wanted the best for everyone in the packs and he never let his status get in the way of the way he treated people. He was always down to fight for what he wanted and for those he loved.

The deeper meaning to what can be considered a shallow story is to never let the past keep you from living, that's obviously something that took Ellie a long time to learn. Also, don't let society tell you what you can, and cannot have. In Ellie's case, she thought being mated would stop her from having a career, freedom etc., that something she saw happened with her mom and assumed that it would happen to her.In our society, it often portrays that women can't be great mothers and have a successful career, that men that show their emotions are less of a man. That isn't factual, in the end, Ellie was able to have it all and Noah is one of the strongest Alpha's and never hesitated to be affectionate towards Ellie, and his reputation was never harmed because of it. I kind of feel like I'm all over the place, so to put it all in much simpler words, you can be whatever you want as longs as you work at it, and never let people tell you differently.  And if they do tell them...

I want to thank everyone who supported this story over the years. I know with all the gaps in between chapter was really annoying but I glad that you guys stayed with me on this journey.
