A Box Full of Surprises

Time to get down to business. Niall, Zayn, Louis and I are in Lou's room, while Harry is out with a friend. We have to start brainstorming. I read again the third and fourth step, since the two have to be achieved in one event.

                         3. Make him ask you on a date.

                         4. Make sure that date will be the one he will remember the most.

"You know what Lou? Just go get something for this date, a gift or something, Zayn can come with you. The two of us can handle this." Of course, no one except Niall and me can know about our plan.

Zayn and Lou already left, so Niall and I moved to the living room. "So, what do we do?", Niall asked. "How about some romantic date?" "That's so cheesy Li." "Well, what do you want?" "Well, maybe some date at a carnival, or an amusement park?" "That's very common." "Uh, what about a weekend away?" "Isn't that more of a girl-boy thing?" Well, what's the difference? And while they are there, maybe a romantic dinner or a date at some park. It's perfect." "Well, we have some time off anyway. Fine, a weekend together it is. Where to?" "Well, they can go this country place nearby here?" "Excellent. Now c'mon, let's get some tickets."

We went to a gift shop nearby. It's got everything. It's all cheap, but most of the things they sell are really beautiful and one-of-a-kind. "So, Lou, what'dya think we can get Harry?" We looked at different racks of necklaces, pendants, bracelets, cards and some more things to give. But I couldn't seem to find something that suits him. I walked over to the counter and looked what's on display. While Zayn looked at other displays far from me, I found myself looking at some rings. Then there's one ring that actually captured my attention. "Sir, can I see that ring?", pointing at that one ring. The salesman took it out and handed it to me. "If you wear that ring long enough, a heart will mark on your finger," he explained. I looked at it closely and it's really beautiful. "I'll take it," I said. He took it from me and he put it in a box. I paid for it and walked to Zayn, showing it to him. "Wow, it's amazing Lou. So now, come on and let's get back." We were going outside but there's a thing on display that caught my eye. "Oh God,”  I said when I finally looked at it. Zayn looked to and asked, "What? Why?" I turned the pendant of the necklace around and I confirmed that it was really the one. I remembered that day,

Harry and I were walking around, trying to comfort him when Kat left him. We passed by the gift shop and he saw the necklace with the cat pendant on the window display. "My grandfather has one exactly like this”, he says. We walked inside and he looked at it more closely. He turned it around and like it was especially made for him, there's his name on the back. At that time, he didn't have any cash left, and neither do I. So I told him that time we will come back someday and buy it but we never had a chance.

It's been a while so I never expected it to still be in display. I rushed to the cashier and he put it in the box too, like the ring. I paid for it and caught up with Zayn. Together we walked back to my flat.

I arrived home at our house at about 5:30 in the afternoon and saw Louis at the living room, alone. I'm surprised the other lads aren't here, but I guess they already left. "Hey Boo Bear!" I greet. He stands up and faces me. "Hey Haz! C'mon I’ve got a surprise for you!" He's really cheeky about this. I laughed while he drags me to the back garden. There's a red-and-white checker cloth and a picnic basket on the ground. I giggled and he motioned me to sit down. So I sit down, and he follows. He then puts a pizza box in front of us out from nowhere. "How did you do that Boo?" He winks and says, "Magic." I laughed again and we just sat there, eating pizza and drinking beer, just chatting. "But wait, there's more of this." I was shocked. Then he gives me an envelope. Inside it was two tickets to the a nice country place in UK. "Boo! This is too much!" "No, I like to spoil my Hazza." Then he kneeled in front of me, looked straight to my eyes, and sang,

"Aw, Boo, that's sweet!" "And for the last surprise..." "This isn't the last?” I exclaimed. He shook his head and he sits beside me. He gets a box from his pocket and opens it. Inside it was a ring. He grabs my hand and put the ring on my thumb. "Don't ever remove it, okay?" I nod and ask, "What's it for?" "It's a promise ring. To symbolize that on this night, I promise you we will always be together, no matter what." I smile. "I promise you that too." We snuggle, laid down, and gazed at the stars. "Boo? We do this a lot,” I say. He looks at me and kisses my nose. "Yeah, I know. And there's not one moment I regret doing it."
