Rediscovering - The Original TV Dinners - 1950's to Now

In the 1950's Swanson introduced the revolutionary quick dinner for one person or each family member could each have a different meal without the Mom slaving over a hot stove to make a few different choices. The TV Dinner, you could bake it in your oven (Tidbit:The tin would cause it to spark and cause a fire if you tried cooking these in the microwave so it was oven baking only.) and bring it into the living room put it on a snack table and eat your meal in front of the television. ( I will cover snack tables in the next chapter)

The original TV dinner - 1956. You had a very few select choices of which brand you wanted Swanson, Banquet or Morton.
