The next Monday Alex woke up to his usual alarm and got ready quicker than usual; putting on some comfortable clothes. He walked into his living room with his bag and phone in hand and sat down. He had time to spare. The news was on broadcasting the weather. After thr cut scene of the weather it changed to a reporter at the NASA headquarters. The reporter described a strange occurrence in the magnetic pull of Earth's axis. The doomsday theorists were right.
Alex was shocked and continued listening. The reporters continue that in order to reverse the magnetic pull they'd have to send someone on a suicide mission in space. All the rockets were not buoyant enough to make it out of the atmosphere.
Alex turned off the tv and said, "That's some shit" before leaving for school.
