New Kid (Keith x Lance)

     Lance woke up to an empty bed. He looked around, and his eyes fell on the raven haired boy. "Morning Keith" Lance groaned. Keith tilted his head back, his hand over his mouth, before giving Lance a response.

     "Mornin' Lance" Keith said. "You can wear some of my clothes today" Keith offered, pulling his tee-shirt off and searching through his closet for something to wear. He came across a black tee-shirt and a flannel. Keith quickly pulled the tee-shirt over his head, and slipped the flannel on. "Just pick whatever" Keith said, motioning towards his closet. Keith was lucky, and already changed his pants earlier, so there wasn't that awkward situation. 

     Lance had picked out a simple grey tank top with red cargo shorts. He left into the bathroom to go change, while Keith ran a brush through his hair. A few minutes later, Lance came out of the bathroom, his dirty clothes in his hands. "Just toss my clothes over there, I'll clean it later" Keith said, motioning towards a corner. Lance nodded, and tossed the clothes into the corner. "Are you ready for school?" Keith asked.

     "No, I'd rather not go" Lance grumbled.

     "I'll take that as a yes" Keith said, handing Lance his bag. It mainly was filled with his clothes from yesterday, but it had a few folders in it as well. Keith led Lance into the garage, and hopped on his motorcycle, and handed Lance a helmet. Keith slipped his helmet on, and revved the engine. Lance hopped on, and held onto Keith's waist. Keith quickly sped out of the garage, and down the road towards school. Lance chuckled the whole time that Keith was driving.

     Soon, they came to a halt at school, and Lance slipped off. A few students were crowding around in curiosity. Lance slipped off his helmet, and handed it to Keith. Keith pulled his helmet off, and put both the helmets in a compartment. Lance couldn't help but look at Keith's hair, slightly messed up from the ride. "Come on, let's go" Lance said, dragging Keith away from his bike and towards the school. Lance could hear a faint ping from Keith's phone, and soon let go of Keith's hand. Keith fished out his phone, and read the text. His face immediately paled a bit, his eyes widening.

     "Hey guys, I'll be right back. I have to go do something." Keith said, running into the school.

     "What was that about?" Pidge asked.

     "I have no idea" Lance said.

     "My gut is telling me to look after him, but he shouldn't be gone for too long. Plus, I don't want to annoy him." Hunk said. Pidge and Lance nodded in agreement, and waited for their friend to come back.

     The group knew something was up when they didn't see Keith for the rest of the day. They had been texting Keith every now and then, but none of them got a response. "Maybe something came up and he had to leave?" Pidge suggested.

     "But he probably would have texted us so we wouldn't worry about him." Hunk said, tapping his foot. They were all getting worried.

     "Guys! Shut up!" Pidge commanded. Hunk and Lance immediately shut up and listened. There was a soft thump echoing around the hall, though it was very faint. Hunk, Pidge, and Lance began looking into rooms for the cause of the noise. Pidge was about to move past a door, when they heard a thump, and the door handle moved slightly. "Guys! Over here!" Pidge yelped, turning the doorknob. It was surprisingly unlocked, though the school typically didn't lock the doors.

     "Oh my god" Hunk whispered, covering his mouth. There was a body sprawled out in the janitors closet, their hands and feet bound with duct tape. Something was jutting out of their legs, presumably a bone. There was a puddle of blood beneath their head, matted in their hair, as well as splattered all over their body.

     Their side was moving, but they were obviously unconscious. A single piece of duct tape was stuck across their mouth, a single stream of blood coming from their nose and going over the tape. What scared them the most was they recognized the face. "Keith!" Hunk yelled.
