Rooftop

It was early at night about 8 and carl just came back from work
Ben and I were sitting on the couch and watching tv
"Hey love" he said wrapping his arm around me
"How was work?" I asked "and who has the nice black car"

He looked at me worried

He hesitated

"Uh- my-uh boss" he stuttered
"Who's you're boss?" I asked looking at him
"Babe let's go to the movie theater, I made money today" he smiled sitting next to me and intertwined our hands

"We can even eat dinner before" he kissed me
That just put my mind off of everything
I smiled
"I'm going to grab my phone " I said picking up ben and going into Carl and I's room

Carls p.o.v
I saw Elizabeth walk upstairs and I texted G Dogg
Me: can't do any runs tonight I have a date

He responded

G Dogg: alright, but if you ditch us one more time you get it. Remember you're workdays are Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. It's Sunday right now, I better see you on Wednesday or you get it

I closed my phone and Elizabeth came down the stares wearing the same thing but she has her hair wavy
"You look gorgeous as always" I said holding her hand
"Going on a date with Elizabeth!" I yelled

We walked out the door

Elizabeth's p.o.v
This is carl and I's first official date
We went to a really fancy restaurant. I got salad and he got steak

After dinner we went to a fancy movie theater and watched the notebook

I cried at the end but he didn't

We were leaving the movie theater and I saw Brian
"Hey Lizzy, Liz, Beth" he said teasing me
"Brian it's just Elizabeth and what are you still doing here it's been a month and a half since I last saw you and you said you were leaving in three days" I said holding Carls hand

He tightened his grip
His signal to leave
We both started walking away as brian followed us

"Carl that was a nice car you were getting into earlier, the black one. Is it yours?" Brian said standing in front of us

"N-"
Brian cut carl off
"I didn't think so. You and you're family are to poor to afford it anyway. That's why you probably took that job" brian said

I looked at carl
"What's he talking about" I asked
"How you're boyfriend-"
Carl punched brian in the face and grabbed my hand and we ran
We ran so far away
It was 10:30 and we were at the alibi
"What was that all about Carl?" I asked him

Carl's p.o.v
I didn't know what to say so I lied
I'm lying to my trustworthy,loyal, amazing girlfriend
"That car is my bosses, my boss is rich and today he wanted to go over the rules of the job so we took a drive and he explained everything for about an hour. Then I got to work" I said lying right through my teeth
"Oh...." She said holding my hand again
"I'm sorry I didn't believe you" she added

"It's alright" I said and kissed her cheek

I felt so bad

"Let's go on the roof of the alibi" she said
"Okay"

We found a latter and climbed to the top
We both laid on our backs and looked at the stars

We were cuddling for a while and then finally something came out of Elizabeth's mouth

"What's you're greatest fear" she asked putting her head on my shoulder

I paused

"Probably like dying and losing you" I said
"What about you?"

"Same thing" she said yawning
She now had her head on my chest and had her arms wrapped around me

Elizabeth's p.o.v
I looked at carl
I was so tired

He pecked my lips and I giggled

He made me so happy
"I love you, good nig-" I said closing my eyes
He rubbed my back and played with my hair
And i just thought to myself
How did I get so lucky...how?
