Elizabeth's p.o.v
Carl got home late
"Hey I'm going to go to bed now" I said kissing his cheek
"How was work?" I asked
"Not good" he said looking angry
I rubbed his back
"I'm sorry" I said
Fiona came in the room
"School tomorrow, go to bed now"
"Ight" carl said taking off his shirt and getting into bed
He legit looked depressed
"Babe?" I asked looking into his blue green eyes
Like the ocean
"Yeah?"
He looked at me and he looked sad and worried
"Uh-just I love you" I said hugging him
"A lot"
"I love you too" he said holding my hand
"A lot"
Carl fell asleep moments later but I couldn't sleep
Carl is a heavy sleeper so I wouldn't wake him up
I got out of bed and looked for Carls backpack
I found it
"I feel so bad" I said quietly
"But he's hiding something I can see it in his eyes"
I looked in his bag and saw money, notebook, his charger and his phone
I reached in
"Oh my god am I really going to do this" I thought
Someone was coming upstairs and then the door opened
"What are you doing?"
I looked up slowly I was pale I could tell
