Haxus had no immediate family to come to his funeral.

But the people that did come was the only family that mattered.

Surprisingly, despite the awfully gloomy mood, it was a bright day.

Shay and the others from the orphanage riddled Haxus' grave with flowers. The name engraved on his headstone was barely visible through the foliage.

Keith watched Lance and Lotor walk up to the headstone after everyone else already had.

Lotor kneeled down, pressing his palm against the marble. He gently kissed his most prized possession and placed it in front of the grave.

A small framed picture of them together.

He whispered a tearful goodbye, and Lance led him away.

Lance then joined Keith in front of the grave.

"This sucks man", Lance sighed.

Keith shook his head.
"It's not right. Haxus dealt with the consequences of someone else's actions."

Lance nodded and took Keith's hand. They walked together with the crowd away from the grave, down the dirt path.

They all bid sorrowful farewells to their good friend.

Who now rested amongst flowers.

Far down the dirt trail behind the orphanage.

Under the willow tree.
Where Lotor first greeted him hello.
And now has to tell him goodbye.
