I rung the doorbell waiting outside of Elena's house.

Opening the door Elena said with surprise, "Caroline, what are you doing here?"

"I need you both to talk me out of finding Klaus attractive. I need to stop thinking about Klaus because you were right and he's an awful person and I don't need all these conflicting feelings about him."

"Conflicting feelings, huh? I didn't realize you thought about me so much, love."

"You're got to be kidding me." I growled and turned around to see Klaus standing on Elena's porch, leaning against a column. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"I came to talk to you. We didn't leave on such a positive note."

"The last thing I want to do is talk to you." I growled, about ready to step into Elena's house when Klaus grabbed my arm.

"It wasn't a request, love."

"Let go of her." Elena said. She almost stepped out of the house but I stopped her.

"Don't. You're safe in there, I'll be fine." I said then turned to glare at Klaus. "Five minutes. That's all I'm giving you, then I'm leaving."

He grinned. "That's all I need."

He grabbed my hand and we ran into the forest.

"What do you want from me?"

"Don't be angry, love. So we had a bit of a spat back there, but I'm over it."

"Oh really, I'm not."

"Oh come on, talk to me. Get to know me. I dare you."

I rolled my eyes, I guess if I'm trying to figure Klaus out then it couldn't hurt to hear a little more about him. "Fine."

A few seconds passed and I realized he was just staring at me. Feeling a little uncomfortable I said, "so, what do you want to talk about?"

"I want to talk about you. Your hopes, your dreams."

"I thought we were talking about you."

He shrugged. "You already know enough about me." He stepped closer. "How do you feel about traveling?"

"Traveling? I mean I love traveling. I want to see the world one day."

"I could take you around the world. Anywhere you want to go I could show you. You would love it, Caroline."

Looking at my feet I finally said, "Maybe that would be nice. But I can't, not now."

Suddenly he was 2 inches away from me, lifting up my chin he whispered, "I been living for quite some time, love. Time isn't important to me. I can wait."

His lips were only a breath apart and it took all my self-restraint not to kiss him. "Now, I believe our time is up," he whispered and then he was gone.

I sighed shaking my head. Wow, he really leaves you thinking.

I decided I better not go back to Elena's house. After all, I just asked her to talk some sense into me, and I didn't want to think about how 'bad' Klaus was. So I texted her, Feeling tired. Just going to go to bed. And I started to walking home.

Are you sure? Is everything okay? Elena texted back.

Yep, Was all I said.

Then as I turned the corner on my street I suddenly felt two sharp burning bullets go into my back. Gasping in pain, I collapsed, unconscious.
