Second update today my dears! Excited ba? They're meeting each other in the next hour or so and I am so hoping this precious time they have together will be sweet and memorable for them both. I also hope Judy Ann gave Maine some nuggets of wisdom on how to make their relationship work, so that Maine will be able to persevere and fight for their relationship. I hope Alden gets his chance also when Ryan talks to him during this time.
Anyway, here's ficMaine's and ficAlden's first encounter outside the office, away from work. It's a good time to unmask and get to know each other better. Do you think they will discover more things about each other?

The restaurant was still empty when they arrived. Maine liked the organic feel of Crescent Moon, with its airy interiors and handmade pottery on display. She noted a few that could be purchased for the two projects they visited.

"So......how do you find working in land development so far?"
"Ok naman. I'm not new to this kind of work, kasi before I joined Phoenix, I used to work with Primo Development, also in marketing. I'm glad this opportunity came, nakakapagod na din sa mall magwork. Three years of that is enough."
"Yes, dito maganda kasi palabas-labas ka ng office, you work with a lot of contractors and brokers. You seem to be sociable naman, so bagay sayo yung position."
"Yes, I enjoy jobs that entail interacting with people. Ikaw, matagal ka na dito?"
"Three years na rin. I used to work in Singapore, dun din kasi ako graduate eh. My family lives there, umuwi lang ako kasi......." He stopped himself in time before revealing too much.
"Kasi?"
"Wag na. There's just something personal that made me choose to work here instead. Good decision naman, happy naman ako sa package given to me and I'm allowed to accept projects also outside, so long as hindi for a developer."
"So, you live alone here?"
"Yes, I live in our house in Greenmeadows."
"Magkalapit lang pala tayo. Blue Ridge ako eh, also living alone. My parents are based in Davao, dun na sila nag-retire. My sisters are working abroad."
"Hindi ka nalulungkot?"
"Nalulungkot din. Kaya ako siguro workaholic, para hindi umuwi agad kasi nga mag-isa lang ako. Ikaw?"
"I have my belles. Sina Cass, Gelay and Zia sometimes sleep over. Riot yung mga yun, never a dull moment with them."
