He doesn't notice the baby girl laying on top of to him stir awake. He's laying down on the couch staring into space. He's thing about the past and the future.
The toddler rubs her eyes with her tiny hands.
"Okay is okay?" She asks, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"It's Sasuke," he corrects. The toddler on his stomach still can't pronounce his name and opts to call him by the name of Okay.
"No, Okay," she says, "is okay?" she tilts her head.
"Yeah. I'm fine," he answers.
"Okay," she says and behind to bounce on Sasuke's stomach.
"Mirai, you hungry?" he asks.
The little girl eagerly nods, "Chocolate."
"No chocolate."
"Yes!" she shouts.
A small smile makes its way onto his face. He loves teasing her. She was so cute and fun to mess with. She's like family to him.
"Family . . ."
He missed his own. His parents and his brother, he wants to see him but he can't.
"Let's go eat, Mirai," he says.
He opens the fridge and looks for something to eat.
"Mama home?" Mirai asks.
"Not yet," he answers.
"Where she?"
"With daddy," he says.
The toddler nods and tries to grab a piece of candy of off the counter but fails due to the height difference.
"Mirai be better than us."
