"She has also set up smaller health care clinics in various states, fully staffed and equipped to tend for less severe health cases. This according to her, will offset the work load from the larger tertiary hospitals."

Does that include free drugs?

Father: "Why free hospital no go mean free medicine?"
Free healthcare must include free drugs.

Daughter: "Na for here wey she stay o, South-south here."
She grew up here, in the south-south.

Mother: "Na so , na why she get sense. If she no been dey stay here, you think she go dey think like this? Me, I never see Hausa man wey get sense. Upon the money wey dem get."
This is why she is sensible and forward thinking. She stayed amongst us. Northerners generally are backwards, although they have rich men.

Daughter: "Northerners, dem no like better thing. Na dem get all the politicians, upon that, dem no dey developed. Na north rich pass, but na dem poor pass."
Even with the amount of politicians hailing from there, they are the most underdeveloped Nigerian area

Father: Just make sure say, tomorrow una comot go bring the card for house people.
Just ensure to get the cards for the entire house tomorrow.

North western Nigeria - Ibadan, Oyo state.

Father: "Mogbe, better don come o."
"We have seen a good thing."

Mother: "Which better? Free health ni, free health ko."
"I dont believe it. It's not true."

Daughter: "This una country, even if self na true, the thing go spoil. Better thing get last here?"
"Even if it were true, it wouldn't last. Nothing good lasts in this country."

Father: "Anyhow sha, comot tomorrow, go check am. Just in case. May we no go dey pay for medicine."
"Still, check tomorrow. Let's use free drugs."

Mother: "Government wey never give us free mosquito net wey dem promise us go give us free medicine? "
"The government promised us free mosquito nets that they have still not supplied. What makes you think they will give us free drugs?"

Daughter: "This one no be government, na just the girl wey dey do am. I like all these fair Hausa girls. Dem sabi fine."
"This is not the government's work, the doctor girl is in charge. I like fair Hausa girls, they are very pretty."

Father: "Mosquito net or not, go collect the card tomorrow. If we no fit prevent malaria, at least make we dey cure am."
"Whether or not they give us mosquito nets, take the free cards. If we cannot prevent malaria, then let us cure it."
