When Ren was a little boy he took a lot more intrest in girly things than he did boy stuff such as sports. Some say its because his father was never in his life and because he had to help his mother with everything.
By the age of 16 his mom got cancer and spent most of her days in a hospital bed using life support to stay alive. She was very ill and sick, all Ren could do about it was comfort her and be by her side. But the day before her death she had said some very hurtful words to her only son, "Son your a disappointment. Now stop being so feminine, pick a football and make mother happy." After that day he promised to show masculinity.
As he was reaching his last year of high school He knew he made hi mom proud by getting into a karate class after her death. Eventhough he wasn't the best at it.It helped him a lot deal with his inner emotions. His high school life hasn't been the best until he met someone unexpected..
