"Of course!"

I stand there under the moonlight looking into his brown eyes. It was an awkward look, and I felt my mouth slowly fall open. I couldn't believe what was happening.

Alex spoke again snapping me out of my thoughts, "So..."

I shook my head, "Alex, why? Why would you want to go to the dance with someone like me?" I paused for a moment, " I mean, I can't even dance that well!"

He stood there with an expression that I couldn't quite read. It was shocked, but expected. Sad but understanding, "I understand..." he said reaching for the door to walk back in.

I stand there and I softly push my long brown hair behind my ears. I spot a bench, and walk over to sit down, I needed a moment to rest.

I come to the realization that I can't just ask any random boy out to the dance. It would be very awkward, like it was just a minute ago. I sat there, considering my options.

One option was to go back up to Alex and just tell him 'Sure'. Another was to ask Hayden, but he probably already had a date. I then considered just giving up. Telling Tanner I lied and go with my friends.

I saw someone walk up in the distance. I looked down, but kept the face in sight. A light illuminated there brown hair. As they came closer they stoped. I looked up to be facing Hayden who was standing 10 feet away from the bench.

"H-hey" I said.

"Hey..." he said walking closer, "Is everything alright?"

I straightened up, "Yeah. Just thinking..."

He was a foot away from me now, "Mind if I sit?"

I nodded looking back down at the ground.

"So what's up?" He said sitting down next to me. We were taking kind of soft. As if someone was recording every word we said and we didn't want them to here.

"This stupid dance thing..." I said, I felt kind of bad I had already complained about this whole thing to him, then I got a thought,"You going with someone yet?"

He looked down at the ground, "Well...actually..." he paused, "I was going to ask you..."

He looked up at me, and I widened my eyes. His face was pink, and I felt mine turn to a cherry.

"Really?"

He nodded, "I knew you didn't have a date yet, and that whole thing happened with your friend..." He paused again, "I just thought I would take that wait off of you..."

"Hayden..." I thought back agin to the football game. To when Lyndsey told me to ask him,"I- actually have considered asking you to..."

I refused to look up to see his reaction. I didn't want to.

"Why not?" He asked and I panicked.

I thought for a second, "because... Well..." I turned up to face him, "For the few weeks we have been here... I've made a friend... even though we faught that one time about me, stealing your seat" I laughed a little.

He laughed to,"That was such a stupid reason to fight..."

I nodded, "But you see how things have changed! We're friends now! And I guess... I assumed you were already going with your pack... or you had a date..." I took a breath, "I didn't want thins to be awkward after I asked... only to be rejected, and tuning our friendship..."

There was a silence for a moment, "Well... this is the most inconvenient time to do this but...I mean..." He spoke making me look up, both of our faces were red.

"Would you like... to go to the dance with me?"

I paused... His face had a glow to it because of the moonlight. I thought for a second, "Hayden...of course...!"

"Great! Uh.... so! See you Friday?" He said awkwardly but excited.

"Yeah, Yeah!"

"Okay...great!" He got up waving,"Uh Bye...!"

"Yeah bye!" I waved as he slowly faded away.

I couldn't help but smile. I felt like skipping back into the restaurant. I tried to casually walk back to the table, but had to do a little skip or to.

I walked back to find out food, out witch was good, so I could shove food in my face and try to act cool that I got a date, "Hey I'm back!"

Lyndsey took notice almost immediately, "Well you look hap-" Her face lit up suddenly, "Oh wow you got a date with Hayden!" She said practically screaming.

"Shhhhh" I couldn't help but giggle a little.

"Wait really! That guy who almost beat you up over a seat?" Bella chimed in. A little worried.

"He has changed! I promise!" I said smiling.

"Okay..." Bella said, taking a bite of pasta.

When we finished dinner, we walked back to the room. Hannah, finished packing her things, then set her suit case, by her bed, "Im leaving early tomorrow..." she paused, "So I probably won't see you guys tomorrow..."

"Awww!" Bella, gave her a hug. Then we all came up and gave her a hug.

When she got to me, she whispered in my ear, "We will keep in touch..." then she pressed her watch up against mine, exchanging numbers.

She pulled away, then I remembered the conversation we had this morning. I nodded.

"Oh shoot!" Lyndsey said looking through a stack of papers, "We had homework!"

She then began to pass out papers to everyone. The homework was from math and world history. It was odd though, because world history was a completely inaccurate name for the class.

It was mostly about this history of how the scientist crafted the formula and mad it better over time, then we jumped into normal history.
The teacher told us, that sometimes knowing the formula can help you control it. Witch I guess made since.

I honestly couldn't focus, I had my mind on the dance. Hayden told me he was trying to lift that burden, but he made it worse, and added the addition of me constantly smiling and giggling. I tried to snap out of it, but kept going back. I evenly got my homework done, but then couldn't sleep. I eventually did, but had to shake the thought of the dance out of my head first.
