So the main character is a lady (in my head it's Lady Ascot) and her husband has gone missing either his mistress has disappeared too or she hasn't, the relationship between husband and wife was purely strategic and they're nothing more than friends so when Lord Ascot has disappeared his wife goes to Sherlock to either confirm he's run away with his mistress so she knows to put whatever plan they have for if this happened, in action or to find out what really happened and why he's missing.
