I remember that day so well.
School just ended.
I asked you to meet me at the rooftop.
It was the most cliche place to confess. Almost every relationship and every heart break happened there.
I hoped that I wouldn't experience the latter.
I remember asking Jimin to come with me which was probably a bad idea.
You stared at me then glanced at Jimin who stood behind me, then stared at me again.
You were speechless.
And I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
"He loves you y/n! Just say yes so I can go home!" Jimin said along with a sigh when the deafening silence between us was too long.
"Really?"
Your voice was barely audible.
I sighed.
I could already feel the rejection.
I decided to walk away, too afraid to face it.
My anxiety was building up.
I needed to leave.
"YAH! Hyung! Where are you go-"
"I love you too Yoongi"
You cut Jimin off.
Were you telling the truth?
I couldn't tell.
I couldn't see your facial expression because my back was facing you, my fingers were already on the handle of the door of the rooftop.
I took a few deep breaths and calmed myself before facing you.
You gave me a warm smile.
And that smile was all I need to know that you were telling the truth.
And I swear.
At that moment, my heart stopped and I felt like the happiest man on earth.
