Ending #1
"A-and you and Finn should be together. He makes you happy."

"Jack, I can't."

"No really; I think that if it's what's best for you, go for it. I'm not holding you back."

A few tears escaping her eyes, Jack leaned over the table, wiping them off with his thumbs.
She got up and wrapped him with a hug, sobbing into the shoulder of his jacket.

"Hey, hey. Don't cry. Beautiful people shouldn't cry."

Pulling apart from the hug, tear stained and run down; she planted a short and sweet kiss upon his lips.
"Thank you Jack,"
Looking down at her shoes, she finally saw that the colour reflecting on the sidewalk was significantly darker.
"I-I should get going."
He nodded, understandingly.
"Me too. I'll... see you later. Yeah. I'll see you later."
And with that, he left in one direction and her in another.
Jack smiled, he got his best friend back.
No one knew where he was going;
could've been Jaeden's.
Or maybe his house.
But y/n was headed to Finn's.

He makes you happy.

Yeah, he really does.

"Y/n?"

Finn opened his door, wearing a Led Zeppelin band tee and Nike shorts. His hair was sticking up in every direction, basically telling her he was sleeping.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry if I woke you. I-I can go." She started to walk away, but was pulled gently into the house by her wrist. He looked concerned, but still had a soft, tired look on his face.
"No. It's fine. Is everything okay?"
There was a split second of silence; giving the chance for her thoughts to run wild. She could back out now, walk out. Say nothing's wrong.

He's your best friend, idiot. He knows you.

"Would you go out with me?"
Her sudden burst of confidence shocked Finn. He had been wanting to say the same thing to her for the longest time. She braced for what he was going to respond with.

"Yes."

"Wait, what?"

He let out a laugh.

"Yes. I would love to go out with you."

She pulled him in for a kiss, remembering the feeling of his soft lips on hers.
They moved in sync, Finn kissing her like she would leave tomorrow.
Her hand made its way to his smooth curls, smiling when she felt them.

That night, they fell asleep on Finn's bed, his arms around her waist and their legs intertwined. Their body heat reflecting each other's, keeping the warmth.

Things were finally right.

They were finally perfect.

He was about to leave, knowing that she probably would want to go see Finn.
But she didn't.

"J-Jack."

He looked up, wondering what she needed. When it hit him; he didn't mean those things about wanting her to be with Finn.
Seeing her eyes: falling in love with them over and over again.
Looking at her smile: a blush always seems to rise to his cheeks.
Looking at her: every single emotion and more.

"Yeah, y/n?"

"I want to be with you."

She meant it. She knew where her feelings stood. His eyes went wide, and before she knew it he had walked up to her.
His face merely inches from hers, his warm breath radiating on her neck.

"I want to be with you."

Entering y/n's vacant house, Jack pushed her against a wall; not being able to wait any longer. The whole walk home all he could think of was his lips & hers; together.
He grabbed the back of her neck and smashed a kiss onto her lips. She smiled into it, knowing that Jack would always be Jack.
Going up the stairs, not breaking the kiss, y/n and Jack made it to her room, shutting the door in the process.

The rest of the night was filled with tired, messy kisses.
The television playing reruns of Friends for background noise.
Making out under covers and cracking jokes until midnight.
