Dear Mackenzie,

Thank you for calling attention to the fact that I fell asleep in geography.

I don't even had words for how I felt when the whole class started sniggering at me, and how you laughed triumphantly.

Truth is, that was almost as much sleep as I got last night.

Ever since Caleb died, I've developed insomnia. My parents seemingly haven't noticed, consumed in their own grief.

Hayley, little Hayley doesn't understand.

I try to help her get to sleep, putting her needs above my own, but how can I help her when I can't even help myself?
