SETTING: King Lear's Castle
SUMMARY:
start with Edmund's soliloquy about how he wants to rise up the ranks.
Gloucester comes in and discusses scene previous (the banishment etc.) and Edmund plants the idea that Edgar wants to kill him, Gloucester enraged (ooh..parallels).
· Gloucester exit then Edgar enters and Edmund persuades Edgar to run and hide from Gloucester.
· Final speech by Edmund confirming his hopes of 'topping th' legitimate' (AKA Edgar)
