I jolted forward, my brow covering in a thin layer of sweat. My heart was beating so quickly that my head felt light, my chest heaving so violently anyone would have thought I'd just finished a marathon.

The body bundled up in the sheets next to me rolled over at all the commotion going on at my side of the bed. She lifted her hands up to cup my cheeks, wiping away the fresh tears that threatened to spill from my eyes.

"Did you have a nightmare?" Camila asked sweetly, her voice heavy with sleep. I could barely see her soft brown eyes illuminated by the moonlight filtering in through our curtains.

"I-I think so." My voice came out unsure, but that's because it's exactly how I felt.
