My eyes batter open like they do most morning, the sun shining though the gap of the curtain. I grab my phone and go under my blanket. I scroll through my snapchat and Instagrams, liking all the posts and reply to them saying "Happy Birthday" I don't know if the boys are awake though but I go onto my text messages and see my texts from last night from Landon that I still hadn't responded to and had a new one from him this morning.

L- Landon J - Juliet

L - Hey, sorry I was out.

L - How r u?

Today 6:03am

L - Happy Birthday Jules!!!! You are the most important person in my life and I don't know what I would do without you. I hope you have a great day beautiful.

I blush at the text message. My cheeks turn a bright pink as I type a reply.

J - Thx Lan. No matter who I'm with or where I am, I love you so much. Thank you for always being here for me.

L - Didn't think you would be up. Want to call?

J - Yeah. Give me a sec

I get out of my bed and slip my uggs on. I walk outside and put my hoodie on. I find a near by bench and get comfy.  I put the hood up and I cover my mouth with my sleeve because I'm cold. I FaceTime call him after plugging my headphones in. His handsome face comes up on the screen, its night time there so its dark outside his window and around his room but there is one light on that is shining upon his face, defining his cheekbones and face. He is in an unfamiliar room which I assume is his room in his new apartment. His hair is different since the last time I saw him. His hair isn't off to the side, its spiked up but his face is still the same. The same goofy, adorable smile that I have known for years. "Hey Jules." He's voice echoes in my ears. I smile at his familiar voice and remove my hand so I can talk. "Hey Landon."

He gives a side smile and we just look at each other for a little bit. It wasn't awkward. It was familiar, almost comforting. I suddenly felt self conscious. Landon has seen me when I was sick with the measles before, when I couldn't wash my hair or skin and he was there from the time he woke up to the time he fell asleep. "Happy birthday beautiful" he says and I give him a smile. His skin in a beautiful tanned colour and his hazel eyes, glistering in the light that he has on.                                                                 "Thank you Lan. Dude, are we really doing this? I mean you have been calling me that for years but, why does it feel like it has a different meaning since the..." "Kiss?" he finishes. I look down and nod my head. "Because you have started taking it in the other way. Before you would take it as a friendly way but since the kiss, maybe you have started taking it in the way I meant it." I cant hide my flushing pink cheeks.         "Landon... I..... never mind. We can talk about this when I get home. Lets talk about something else." I say swiftly.                                                           "Ok.... What are your plans for today?" I shrug my shoulders.        "Honestly, I don't know what we are doing any day. Elton always has something up his sleeve. And you know me Lan. I don't do stuff today, its not my thing." He nods his head after looking down. "Who's Elton?" he asks me and then I realise that I haven't introduced them yet.                      "Ill introduce you when we get home. You will like him. He is one of the roommates." Landon nods his head when I hear something in the background.
