King George the Third had a genetic disorder called acute intermittent porphyria (AIP). This disease primarily affected the nervous system and resulted in epidemic crises called acute attack. During these acute attacks, the victim's urine can turn a purple color. This disease wasn't a pretty one, it caused abdominal pain, vomiting, elevated blood pressure(or hypertension), tachycardia(abnormally rapid heart rate), and can cause paralysis in all four limbs.
