"Hey, what do you say we hang out tonight?" JD asked. It was friday now and I had been talking to JD just slightly more. I still hadn't forgiven him for what he did, but that didn't mean I wasn't willing to be nice.

"For why?" I asked as we walked. My dad hadn't been home for the entire week and I doubted he would be today, meaning I didn't need to shop or make dinner and the house was still spotless.

"Just to catch up. Be friendly." He said but there was a suspicious glint in his eyes.

"All right. I don't think you'll have to come in through the window today." I shrugged, trying to ignore the bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. He smiled before standing in front of me, walking backwards.

"Hey, am I ever gonna get to meet that Maurice guy?" He asked and I rolled my eyes but smiled slightly.

"Maybe. He visits every once in a while." I said, still playing the act that I liked Maurice, even though I realized that it might be more than an act.

"What's he look like? He buff? Wear glasses? Does he have..." He trailed off and leaned down to me, "A mole?" he asked in a hushed tone as if he were saying the devils name. I couldn't help but laugh, pushing him away playfully.

"No, no, and I don't think so." I said with a smile.

"What's he like? Don't tell me he's a nerd." He said and I laughed once again.

"Absolutely not. Doing homework, or any kind of work at all isn't on his bucket list. He's funny and nice and likes to prank people." I said, remembering back to our nights of pranking.

I reached my home and said bye to JD, walking inside. My dad still wasn't there. He probably left when mom divorced him, that's what my move would've been. I still didn't visit my mom, I refused to. Staying home alone was ten times better than talking to that crazy bitch, especially at night time.

I had to admit, I was drained from never sleeping. I would take naps when I got home sometimes, but they were only about an hour long. I needed to let Maurice know that a girl needs her beauty sleep, but hanging out with him was just too fun.

After a quick snack and a shower, I went up to my room and jumped on my bed, almost immediately passing out and going to dreamland.

I found myself waking up to the sound of shuffling around my room. I stayed silent, opening one eye to see Maurice on the other side of the room with a jar of peanut butter, scooping some into his hand and eating it. I glared and jumped up.

"Oh no, not my peanut butter." I said, letting my peanut butter obsession run wild and he grinned.

"Found it in your pantry. It's not bad." He said, eating more off of his hands. I rolled my eyes and snatched the jar from him to look into it. There was barely any left and I could've swore I'd just bought the jar. I rolled my eyes and dipped my own hand into the jar before handing it back to Maurice as I licked the peanut butter from my fingers.

"So how long have you been here?" I asked, looking at the clock. It was around one in the morning.

"About an hour, but I didn't want to wake you up and face a sleepy beast." He said, smacking some peanut butter from the roof of his mouth and I smiled at him.

"How thoughtful." I said sarcastically and he grinned, nodding. He stood up from his spot giddily.

"So what tonight? Arcade, monsterball, or maybe some more trouble? Or we could go to my favorite place on the planet." He offered and I raised an eyebrow.

"What would that place be?" I asked curiously. He smiled and my bed lifted as he grabbed my hand to pull me down. Before he could, I heard a doorbell and pulled back. I suddenly remembered about JD and swore under my breath.

"You expecting company?" Maurice asked cautiously and I smiled slightly.

"Kind of, hold on." I said and ran downstairs, opening the door to see JD standing there. I invited him in and up to my room. I turned on the light before even letting him in so that Maurice would just be clothes.

Once I saw the leather vest on the floor, I whispered a quick apology and opened the door, letting in JD. He looked around once again before turning to me.

"So, what do you want to do?" I asked, wanting to get it over with so he could leave and I could hang out with Maurice. JD's eyes darkened as he looked at me.

"You."

Without a chance for me to react, he pushed me up against the wall and pressed his lips to mine. I felt my heart beating in my throat as he shoved his tongue in my mouth, pinning me to the wall. I tried to fight against him, but he was too strong. I got one arm free and began reaching for the light switch. I stretched my arm until I found the edge of the light switch. He moved his head down to my neck and bit down as I flipped the switch, turning the lights off as I said the only thing I could think of.

"Maurice!" I called out, knowing he'd hear me.

"Your precious Maurice isn't even here, darling. Besides, I bet he can't even make you feel half as good as I can." JD whispered in my ear and I struggled against him, glaring.

"No, he can make me feel better." I said and saw a blue hand tap JD on the shoulder. JD growled and turned around.

"What do you-" he stopped, seeing Maurice's face. Maurice looked angrier than I'd ever seen him look, it was actually scary.

"Boo." Maurice said menacingly. He quickly formed his hand into a fist and swung it at JD, hitting his jaw. JD barely did anything out of shock and fear, backing up.

"You're a monster." he said in disbelief.

"I may physically be a monster, but you, pal, you're the real monster." Maurice said, poking JD's forehead when saying "pal". I couldn't help but smile as JD kept backing up and Maurice kept walking forward, doing everything in his power to scare the hell out of him before punching him again. When JD finally got what was going on, he swung at Maurice, who dodged it easily, "Missed, bud." he said with a smirk, punching JD again. JD turned to me and I swiftly lifted my knee, kicking him where the sun doesn't shine. He groaned and fell to the ground and Maurice gave him one last good knock on the head, knocking him out.
