to be fair, i can't blame all this on you when it all seemed awful since the beginning.

i used to be afraid of looking your direction, now i was sitting behind your desk and controlling the music. arranging your messy work station. drinking tea from your favourite mug until you brought one in for me. when i complained about microwaving our tea, you brought in an electric kettle. i'd call you by your first name. we'd share inside jokes in class. you had a nickname for me and you'd find every reason to use it, but then you stopped when you remembered that time in 10th when i snapped and told you not to call me that.

i asked you out on a date before winter break.
