Minutes after we made another plan, they went back outside. a
A beeping sound came through the walkie and the boys got to work translating.

"Dash, dot, dash, dot." Dustin said as he wrote it down.

"Okay got it. C." Lucas said.

Nancy wrote it down. More beeping came through.

"L." Lucas said.

Nancy wrote down L. Dustin continued to write down what was being transmitted through the walkie.

"O." Lucas said.

Nancy put it down beside the O.

"S." Lucas informed.

Nancy wrote it down.

"C. L. O. S...." I read, trying to figure out what was being said.

"E." Lucas said.

Nancy wrote it down.

"G." Lucas said.

Nancy put it down.

"A." Lucas said after more beeping. "T."

The letters started forming words but I still could figure it out.

"E." Lucas said the last letter.

We all peered over Nancy's shoulder as she held up what she wrote down.

"Close gate." We all read.

The phone rang and we all started panicking. Dustin ran for it and quickly made it stop ringing. After a couple seconds it started ringing again. Nancy ripped the phone from the wall and threw it down the hall.

"Damn." I muttered under my breath.

"Do you think he heard that?" Max asked looking at all of us worried.

"It's just a phone. It could be anywhere. Right?" Steve asked looking at us.

The sound of monsters screeching made us all face the front door.

"That's not good." Dustin said.

The others ran in, Jonathan carrying Will and disappeared to put him in his room. We all gathered in the living room, the kids looking out the window for any signs. Hopper came in seconds later carrying weapons.

"Hey! Hey get away from those windows." Hopper yelled.

The kids ran back and Hopper positioned himself in front of us.

"Do you know how to use this?" Hopper asked Jonathan.

"What?" Jonathan asked.

"Can you use this?" Hopper asked.

"I can." I said stepping forward.

Hopper threw me the gun and I caught it. I readied myself and Steve joined my side with the bat ready. Quickly checking to make sure the gun was loaded and ready, I got back into position.

"Where are they?" Max asked.

The sound of growling made us all turn and I had the gun pointed, ready to shoot.

"What are they doing?" Nancy asked.

The bushes outside the window started moving. We were in silence for a moment before another sound made us turn back to the front. Suddenly the noises stopped. Seconds later the window broke and a monster came in. I had the gun pointed and ready to fire as Hopper moved towards the lifeless monster.

"Holy shit." Dustin said.

"Is it dead?' Max asked.

Hopper moved the monster's head with his foot. The sound of the door creaking made us all spin to face it. The lock flew to unlock and I lifted the gun barrel up. As we creeped forward the chain lock unlocked itself. Eventually the door opened to reveal Eleven walking in.

I lowered my gun and stared at Eleven. The girl who has been missing for a year is here. I looked over at Mike who was staring in awe.

"Eleven." Mike said as the two approached each other.

"Mike." Eleven gasped as she and Mike hugged.

Soon they pulled away from the hug and looked at each other.

"I never gave up on you." Mike admitted. "I called you every night. Every night for..."

Eleven cut him off. "Three hundred and fifty three days."

Mike stared at her.

"I heard." She said.

"Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?" Mike asked.

"Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper spoke.

He walked up to her. "What the hell is this? Where have you been?"

"Where have you been?" She asked.

He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into a hug.

"You've been hiding her." Mike said.

We all looked at Hopper.

"You've been hiding her this whole time!" Mike said shoving Hopper.

"Hey!" Hopper said grabbing Mike's shirt. "Let's talk. Alone."

Hopper and Mike disappeared. I watched the door closed and turned as inaudible yelling came through the door.

"We missed you." Lucas said.

Now him and Dustin were hugging Eleven.

"I missed you too." She said.

"We talked about you pretty much everyday." Dustin said.

They pulled away and Eleven turned to Dustin.

She reached for his mouth. "Teeth?"

"What?" Dustin asked swatting her hand away from his mouth.

"You have teeth." She pointed out.

"Oh. You like these pearls?" Dustin asked before purring.

"Eleven?" Max asked. "Hey. I'm Max. I heard a lot about you?"

Eleven moved past her and rushed up to Joyce. The two of them disappeared down the hall, most likely so Eleven could see Will. I turned to Nancy and looked at her for a moment before looking down at the gun. Minutes later everyone started walking past me and I turned to see him walking towards Joyce and Eleven in the kitchen.

"Do you think if we got you back there you could close it?" Joyce asked.

Eleven looked at her for a moment before looking away. Once Hopper and Will were done talking we all met up in the kitchen and they explained the plan to Hopper.

"It's not like it was before. It's grown. A lot. And I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs." Hopper said.

"Demo-dogs." Dustin corrected.

"I'm sorry. What?" Hopper asked.

"I said Demo-dogs." Dustin repeated. "Like Demogorgan and dogs. You put them together, it sounds pretty badass..."

"How is this important right now?" Hopper asked.

"It's not. I'm sorry." Dustin turned away.

"I can do it." Eleven spoke up.

Hopper shook his head. "You're not hearing me."

"I'm hearing you. I can do it." Eleven reassured.

"Even if El can, there's still another problem. If the brain dies, the body dies." Mike pointed out.

"I thought that was the whole point." Max said.

"It is. But if we're really right about this... I mean if El closes the gate and kills the mind flayer's army.." Mike said.

"Will's a part of that army." Lucas pointed out.

"Closing the gate will kill him." Mike finished.
