Mr.Arrogant

~Chapter-8~

Draven and I never spoke a word to each other after the incident , which relieved me so much. I don't want things to get awkward between us.

"So Adriana , are you used to living together with us now ?" I heard Riley's voice as I nodded at him , an obvious lie.

     "We don't like liars " Jay spoke rudely , but I just ignored him. The girls started chatting with them about a ballroom event or something but I didn't pay much attention to them.  I continued to eat my food in silence when Draven's phone started ringing.
Everyone turned to look at him but he motioned us to continue.

"Yeah she's here  ... okay " He spoke looking at me. I looked at him in confusion when he handed me his phone , giving me a long look.
I took his phone and pressed it against my ear , not daring to utter a word.

"Adriana we need help ..." I heard my dad's voice barely choke out. I stood up from my position, sweat already formed on my forhead on hearing his unsettled voice.

"What's wrong ?! Are you okay ?" I asked him , breathing heavily. He mumbled something before answering. Tears blurring my vision already.

"Vampires .... they're all over the place , killing people ... they're completely draining them out .. I'm sure they're not Draven's." He choked out , before I could open my mouth to ask him more questions , I heard him gasp and he hung up.

"Adriana what's wrong ?" Zack asked me concerned , his voice barely audible for only me to hear now.

"They're under attack by some vampires" I choked out , panic started attacking my body.
"They're killing innocent people" I said raising my voice , as my body started to panic.

"They're not one of us "

"They're just feeding on them , humans are overreacting " Draven simply said ,
I shook my head furiously.

"No ! They're completely draining people out ! Please they need help ... they're getting killed over there , how can you guys just sit her -"

"Who the fuck do you think you are to order us around ?" Jay hissed at me , bolting up from his position , anger filling his eyes.
I cringed back in fear and hatred. Tears brimmed my eyes as desperation filled me.

"Calm down Jay ! She's just worried about her dad ... but we can only proceed on Draven's order , sorry Adriana " said Zack convincingly before giving me an apologetic look.
I turned around to find Draven giving me his sickly sweet smile as if he expects me to beg him right now.
His look turned serious when I walked over to him.

"Please Draven , I know only you can help them .." I begged , moving closer to him.
I hate the fact that I'm giving him what he wants , but I couldn't care right now.

"Its just a waste of my time " He spoke as I find myself holding onto his shirt collar , burying my face in his chest.

"Please Draven ... He is the only one I've got ... I'm begging you please ... I swear , I'd do anything ..." I cried in his chest , soaking his shirt in tears , but I didn't care.
I sobbed and froze as I felt his large palm rest on my head gently.

"Fine ! Now stop crying , its annoying as fuck" He mumbled making me look at him with the most idiotic smile ever. I felt so relieved.
I heard the boys groan.

"We're leaving. I need two of you to stay here and keep an eye on the girls and " He paused to look down at me. He grabbed my wrist from his collar , giving me a long look before opening his mouth to speak.

"If I find out that you tried to escape , your father will be the least of your worries " He spat , frowning and looking down with his piercing grey eyes. I gulped softly. With that Draven disappeared.

The girls looked at me in disbelief , standing up from their position and marching towards their room.

"Great going cry baby " Emily sneered as she bumped onto shoulder roughly but I just ignored. I felt happy and relieved.
I still can't believe Draven agreed to go. Never in a million years I expected a 'yes' from him.

I'd do anything to save them , I don't care if I have to cry for it.
I sighed in relief. I know only he can save them. I have nothing to worry about right now ...
"Everything's going to be okay ... I don't have to worry about anything" I said to myself , walking into the kitchen.

"Do you like to have anything Ma'am ?" I heard one of the butlers ask me , I just shook my head , my smile never fading from my face.
I turned around to walk upstairs , when I felt someone's presence behind me.
I quickly turned my head to see David , grinning at me. My eyes widen at his sight.

"What are you doing here ?! You could've get caught !" I whisper - yelled at him , afraid someone would come in anytime.
What is he doing here anyways ?

"Relax sweetheart , I saw the guys leave" He said smiling. I noticed him wearing a hoodie. His messed up brown hair going well with his blue eyes.

"Even so , you should leave .. they'll be here anytime .. It's not safe for the humans in here " I protested , giving him a confused look.

"I'm just trying to help ... I got something for you " He said , slipping his hand inside his pocket and taking out a bracelet.
He took my hand in his , putting on the bracelet on my wrist. I narrowed my eyebrows at him in confusion.

What is he doing ? What's this ? Should I wear it ?

"What's this ? " I questioned , my eyes not leaving his.
"Just a bracelet from me " He said , giving me his warm smile.
I didn't want to bombard him with questions right now. I don't have the time for it.
I just thought to let it go. A bracelet wouldn't hurt right ?

"I have to leave now , will meet soon " He winked at me before leaving.
I sighed in relief.
Something's not right , maybe I'm just being paranoid.  I shrugged away the thoughts and headed upstairs to my room ....
I kept looking out through the window , waiting for Draven to return home ...
