A/N:
Hey everyone! I decided to make a story for Scout and Miss Pauling, because I have been really into this pairing ever since the third comic. So here we go!
Also, I might use a few (meaning a lot) prompts I found on the internet for my ideas, so lets go!
ANOTHER THING! In prompts and authors notes, you will commonly see things like OTP and shipping. So here are the definitions of those two things:
Shipping: Saying "wow, those two make (or would make) a great couple." One of these groups of characters would be called a ship.
OTP: One True Pairing, or your favorite ship(s).
Prompt:
Imagine your OTP going to a fancy place (whether it’s a ball or a reunion, it’s up to you.) The dress code requires them to dress up in suits and dresses, so the OTP prepares to look nice. However, Person A has a problem tying their bow tie, so Person B insists on tying it for them. (Optional: Person A blushes when their face is close to Person B’s face.)
Scout and Ms. Pauling's Relationship In This One: Boyfriend Girlfriend
~~~
"Scout, the girl's are the ones who are suppose to be taking longer getting ready," she sighed.
Scout was talking forever to get ready, although he was the fastest on the whole team. A contract was signed five years ago, saying that the war was over, and they were going to have a reunion back in New Mexico. Scout managed to get the woman of his dreams, Miss Pauling, to start dating him the year after the team split up. The rest of the team learned this after their second reunion. The two love birds were already running late for the team's reunion, only because Scout claimed he was doing something. She tapped her foot impatiently. "I am just having trouble doing something!" he yelled back to her, sounding annoyed, yet not at her. She leaned against the wall next to the door of their shared bedroom.
"What is it you are having trouble with then?" she asked, trying her hardest to sound less annoyed.
"It's nothin'! Don't worry!" Scout explained, sounding now also slightly embarrassed.
Ms. Pauling narrowed her eyes at the door, trying to think of what he could possibly be struggling with. "Well it is obviously something. Just let me help you Scout, please."
He couldn't say no to her.
"Fine," he sighed, swinging the door open. Charlotte walked into his room. At a first quick glance, all she could see was that Scout was wearing a red buttoned up shirt and black dress pants. His hair was done no different from his usual style. She took a slower look and found a knot of what was suppose to be a bow tie. She couldn't help but giggle a bit. "I know, I know," the man said. "It's kinda sad."
"My guess is that you don't know how to tie a tie?" she asked as she stopped laughing out of respect. He nodded, looking down embarrassed. Ms. P smiled and walked over to him. "Then let me help." The runner immediately looked back up when he saw skilled hands working at the bow tie. He wasn't going to stop her from helping him, mostly because he desperately needed the help. The shorter woman took a step forward to see better, bringing their faces closer, making Scout blush. Their faces were only an inch away from touching, and he couldn't help but stare at the woman in front of him. When she finished-which was soon after she started-she gave him a kiss on the nose, then pulled away. "There you go."
"Thanks babe," Scout said, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked down at her. "Ready to go?" he asked, smirking to try to hide his very noticeable blush.
"I've been ready," she said as the two walked out the door, holding hands.
