It wasn't the fanciest of places, mainly because they didn't have enough time to go out and enjoy a long dinner. Instead, they were eating together at the best fast food joint in town, famous for its buckets of chicken.

They were seated at a two seater with a few pieces of hard, chewed up, old gum balls on the bottom of it. The chairs were stools with red seats and on the table was a large bucket of chicken.

Scout waited until Miss Pauling looked at him, then he motioned to the bucket. "We gots a bucket of chi-"

Miss Pauling stopped him, knowing his pickup line he used on a lot of girls. "Scout, this is our second date, if you count almost being killed by a monster made of bread romantic."

"We made it romantic," Scout said, smirking. "besides, I wasn't going to say that," Scout said, lying and trying to come up with an excuse. "I was gonna ask if you wanted a piece." Scout mentally gave himself a pat on the back for covering himself up.

"I was going to get one," she said, reaching for another piece. Miss Pauling was not stupid, and she knew Scout was lying, but she also understood this was just how Scout was. She couldn't complain though, she found it cute.

After a few moments of silence and stuffing their faces with the chicken that was probably artificial, Scout spoke up. "So what crazy mission-impossible thing did you have to do today?"

"Dig up graves and bury bodies so that you don't get arrested again," she told him. "and this time I almost got caught."

"What, didya knock the cop out or somethin'?" Scout couldn't help but find it hot how she did all of this. Killing people and digging their grave, he liked the fact that she wasn't scared of getting a little bit of blood on her hands.

"I outran them," she told him.

"That is pretty sick," he said. "I like my girls fast."

She rolled her eyes and laughed a little at his remark. Another one of the things she found cute about him was his inability to flirt. She could flirt well if she tried, but she chose not to.

After a little while of talking, Miss Pauling noticed some dipping sauce on Scout's cheek. She leaned in close. Scout first asked her what she was doing, getting excited, but was then disappointed when she only pulled up a napkin and wiped it off. Seeing his lack of excitement, she placed a kiss on the tip of his nose. He blushed and smiled brightly. It may have not been on the lips but it was the first kiss she had ever given him, and he was going to remember that moment for a long time.
