Prompt: Imagine Scout and Miss Pauling getting married and having a family together. Miss Pauling turns out to be a great mother with all the experience of keeping the mercenaries in line. Scout is the cool dad who is bad at discipline and more often than not gets sent to the corner as well as his kids. The rest of the mercenaries are godparents or eccentric old uncles to Scout's kids, and who teach them plenty of skills along the way.

It was a Summer day in Boston, where Scout, Ms. Pauling, their son, Dominic, and daughter, Sarah, lived. It was her daughters birthday party, and she was turning six. She wanted a big princess-themed party like every other little girl did. Although Scout tried to talk her into having a baseball party, she didn't want one. Ms. Pauling didn't mind at all, though, as long as she could invite Femscout and Sniper, who she called her aunt and uncle, even though she already had seven uncles from her father's side.

"Ey, Snipes, long time no see!" Scout said, opening the door and letting Sniper and Femscout in. "And hello, Kayla," he said. Sniper and Femscout said hello and went to the kitchen to wait for Ms. Pauling, who they mainly still called Ms. Pauling, sometimes Mrs. King. Their son, Jack, followed them in. Scout crouched down so he could be eye to eye with the five year old. "How is it going bud?" he asked, giving him a high-five.

"Good," he said, then he ran in to the house to find Dominic. Scout got up and turned to see his daughter running up to Femscout and Sniper, swinging her arms around them in a hug.

"Hi aunt Kayla! Hi uncle Mick!" she said, wearing her purple princess dress that went down to just above her ankles. They hugged her back and said hello back. Sarah ran back to her group of friends who were all dressed in princess dresses. Scout ran upstairs to see his wife come out of his room, dressed up like a queen. She had a golden crown and a dark purple dress that poofed out. Her hair was down and curled, and she was wearing black heels. Scout kissed her hand and bowed to her.

"My lady," he said. She giggled slightly.

"You do have your king costume, right?"

He forgot all about it.

"Of course!" Bill lied, smiling as if he wasn't thinking that he was going to be in big trouble. "I've got this all under control. More of Sarah and Dominic's friends will be here soon."

"Okay honey," Charlotte said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. Then she rushed down stairs.

He ran into his room and started digging through his closet. There had to be something to wear in there. He found his box filled with hats back from his job as a mercenary. He remembered his "Whoopee Cap" was in there. He needed to find it. He emptied the box and saw the hat in question, except it was all crumbled up. "Come on..." he said, trying to get all the small creases out of the paper hat. He managed to at least get it to the point where he could wear it. He opened his closet and tried to find more to wear. He couldn't find anything, so he just decided to go with the white shirt and red pants he was wearing. He grabbed a gold chain necklace back from when they used to be cool. That was all he could really do, so he ran down the stairs to see his "queen" cooking dinner. She took a quick glance at his outfit, then darted her eyes at him. "Okay," he said, trying his hardest to sound innocent. "So I may have just thrown an outfit together just now."

"Bill," she sighed. "You promised me you would have a convincing outfit ready-"

"Whoa!" a little girl exclaimed, pointing at Scout and Miss Pauling while tugging at Sarah's arm. "You never told me that your mom and dad were a real King and Queen!"

Scout smirked at Miss Pauling. "Well I didn't break our promise, now didn't I?"

"You got lucky, this time Scout, but please remember next time," she asked. He wrapped his arms around her waist an kissed her head.

"I will," he told her. "Trust me." She couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you," she said to him, turning to kiss him back. It was a soft, romantic kiss that sent back memories to their first kiss ever. That was until there was an abrupt knock on the door, interrupting their moment. Scout went to the door and greeted everyone who came in. Finally, everyone was in. Scout called everyone outside. All of the little girls started playing princess. The 5 of Dominic's friends that came, Jack, and Dominic were all bored out of their mind. Scout couldn't help but notice this.

"Hey, you all look bored, why aren't you doing anything?" Scout asked the seven boys.

"Oh, I don't know," Dom said. "Maybe its because this place looks like a fairy threw up all over our house." No doubt about it, he got his fahter's sarcasm.

Scout scratched his chin, he had an idea. "Do you wanna get out water guns?"

All seven of them looked up at him. They nodded very quickly and all ran to their garage. Scout handed them all water guns that looked like they could hold half a gallon at a time, and ran to the front yard without getting caught. He ran inside and got a bucket, bringing it out and filling it with water from the hose. "Simple rules," Scout stated. "If you get hit, act dramatic, no killing people while they are reloading. Also, if the water in the bucket runs out, please fill it. Ready?" They all nodded and got ready to run. "Go!"

They all rushed toward each other, shooting each other, everyone forgetting the fact that they were not allowed to be using the water guns during the party.

That was until Charlotte came to the front yard to make sure they were okay.

"Bill! I thought I told you and Dominic no water guns during the party!" she said. They immediately all threw their guns down, whistling as if they didn't do anything. "All of you know have to go inside for ten minutes," she told them.

The seven boys all dropped their heads and walked inside. Scout rubbed the back of his neck, looking at the group of boys. "Heh, sorry guys-"

"You too, Scout."

Bill looked at her, then dropped his head and walked inside. The eight of them all sat down, looking at the floor.

Jack nudged Scout, holding a bag of teddy grahams out to him. "You want one?" Scout simply nodded and ate one, sitting there like the immature kid he still was on the inside.
