"Come on," Scout told Miss Pauling. "Just take a break from your paperwork."
"I can't Scout," she said. "I have to fill this out, I have a lot of work to do today." She sounded stressed, and he wanted to help her, of course. He thought deeply, though it was hard for him. The only times he is stressed is when he is having trouble in battle or something along those lines. He hasn't dealt with her kind of stress in years.
Then he got an idea.
He reached over for her glasses, and pulled them off quickly. She turned in her chair to him. "Scout!!"
"I have to go do paper work, then kill a guy, then hide his body, then I have to work," Scout said in a high pitched, girly tone. It sounded really bad, especially because it doesn't even sound like Miss Pauling or anywhere close to what she sounds like. She couldn't help but giggle a little.
"Fine," she said. "You want to play?" She grabbed his hat and put it on her head. "I am Scout and I flirt a lot and I like baseball and I run fast and I am too cool for everyone."
He smirked at the impression, successfully hiding the bit of embarrassment that the impression brought him. "Scout I can't hang out I am busy I have to walk around the world fifty times today."
"But Miss Pauling I-" her voice suddenly went back to normal. "I really don't have to do that much work."
"But yes, I do. I have a lot to do today. I will make sure you don't get arrested, don't worry," Scout kept the girly voice going. She laughed, and went along.
"Miss Pauling, I just want you to stop so you can admire my pure awesomeness." He laughed. That was when her mind wondered back to the paperwork. "Scout, I am sorry, I have to go back to the paperwork, I don't want to get in trouble."
Scout went back to his normal voice as well. "That's alright, I hope that eased you a little."
She nodded and kissed his nose. "It did."
