they weren't originally placed to sit next to each other, but they made sure with a few switches of the name cards that they did end up being so.
they drank expensive wine and laughed all night over the silliest of things. they pressed their legs and thighs and feet against one another, so every part of their leg was touching the other's.
they held hands briefly, before jamie noticed al looking oddly his way. teddy wanted to hold hands longer, but he saw al nudge scorp and the pair's eyes were on them.
they were rowdy in the taxi back home, because both of them were a little too drunk from the wine. jamie stumbled into their flat, dragging a giggling teddy along with him.
they fell asleep together, both in jamie's bed. only this time, they were a lot closer than before.
they had their fingers interlaced and their legs tangled together. teddy had an arm protectively around jamie, whose head was buried in teddy's chest. their soft breathing was left as background noise.
