Chapter 36 - Don't you dare laugh

Alec POV

"The suns setting we should head back soon, plus my mom probably wants me home" I said cuddling with Clary

"5 more minutes" she said burying her head in my chest. I laughed a little.

"Cmon red we need to go and you need to drive. I can't exactly work a motorcycle" I said getting up and starting to climb down the tree

"Okay, okay I'm coming" she said climbing down after me

I jumped down on the ground and Clary climbed down but her foot slipped on the last branch and I quickly caught her before she hit the ground and she put her arms around my neck

"Careful red" I said looking at her and she smiled and kissed me

"Alec Lightwood, what would I do without you?" She said as I put her down and I kissed her back

"Oh I don't know probably be pining after me?" I said dramatically holding my hand over my chest

She chuckled and pulled me to her motorbike "don't flatter yourself too much Lightwood, I could easily get another boyfriend"

When she that I immediately shut up

"Aww is Alec feeling Jealous now?" She said in a baby voice

"No of course not, your mine forever" I said.

She froze suddenly "Sam used to say that" she said quietly

She looked at the ground for a minute then nervously up at me again while biting her bottom lip

"Clary I'm so sorry" I said

"Its okay" she said quietly "let's go home"

We both got on the motorbike and she drove back to my house

"Clary I'm sorry" I said again getting off the motorbike

"Its okay really, I just...sometimes I still have nightmares about Sam and, that place" she said shuddering a little "but I promise its not what you said that actually didn't really affect me" she said

"Well" I started talking but I was cut off by the front door opening and my dad stepping out

"Alec good you're back, not interrupting am I?" Dad asked

"No of course not Mr Lightwood" Clary replied "I should probably get going anyway"

"Its okay Clary stay for a minute" he said and she nodded

"Alec the company are having issues so you and Izzy are going to have to move back in with Clary and Jon tomorrow instead of at the end of the week is that okay?"

"Yeah that's fine dad, I'll be in, in a minute" I replied

He nodded "good to see you Clary"

"You too Mr Lightwood" she said as dad walked back into the house. I turned back to face Clary

"Looks like I only have to spend one more night by myself" she said smiling and I laughed a little

"Night Alec"

"Night red" I replied giving her a quick kiss before she sped off on her motorbike

Clary POV

I got home and walked into the kitchen

"Where have you been?" Jon said suddenly stepping in front of me

"Chill, Jon I just spent some time with Alec we went for food and stuff" I said

"Jon stop pestering your sister" mom said walking up to us

"But mom its like.." Jon went to check his watch but he wasn't wearing it "its like really late!"

"Jon relax Clary can take care of herself and she text me earlier saying she was going to be late and she was with Alec" mom said

"Yeah dad" I said in a stupid voice looking at Jon. He just rolled his eyes

"I'm gonna go to bed" I said yawning a little

"Okay night honey, Oh and kids?" Mom said

"Yeah?" We both replied

"Don't forget Alec and Izzy are coming back tomorrow"

"OK" we both called heading to our rooms

I went to my room to take a quick shower but just a dribble of water came out

"Mom" I called

"Yes dear?"

"My shower isn't working!"

"I'll get it fixed tomorrow Clary use Jon's for now"

"Okay" I called back

I grabbed my clothes and towel. I knocked on Jon's door and walked into his room but he wasn't there. I shrugged my shoulders and went to his bathroom.

I turned the water off in the shower and went to grab my towel but slipped on the wet floor and landed on my arm. I tried to get up but my shoulder hurt, I think I dislocated it. Great. My other arm had only just healed from the cut. I shuffled my away across the floor and wrapped my towel around myself as best as I could

"MOM" I shouted hoping she could help me get up

"Mom's not here Clary she went to shops to get some food, what do you need?" I heard Jon say from the other side of the door

Crap. "Okay this is going to sound stupid but I slipped in the shower and I think I dislocated my shoulder"

"What Clary I'm coming in" Jon said

"NO! I'm not dressed" I said quickly

"Then get dressed" Jon said

"Did you not here what I just said Jon my shoulder is dislocated I cannot get up let alone get dressed!" I shouted

"Alright, calm down, ummm can you wait like 10 minutes I'll call Izzy and ask her to help you. I know you're in pain but I'm not willing to see my little sister half naked in a towel"

"Fine but make it 5 the pain is getting worse"

"Okay be back in a second"

I waited for what seemed like hours but was actually only like 3 minutes because Izzy speeded on the way here. I was sitting on the floor when the bathroom door opened and Izzy walked in and looked at me on the floor.

"Don't you dare laugh" I said

"I'll try, take these first you'll be in less pain" Izzy said stifling a laugh and giving me some aspirin

She helped me get dressed and I held my arm and walked out of the bathroom.

"You're such an idiot sometimes Clary" Jon said stifling a laugh

"Just shut up and drive me to the hospital please" I said walking off towards the car.

We got to the hospital where the nurse popped my shoulder back in and put my arm in a sling that I'll now have to keep on for a few days.

We got back home and Izzy left. Mom walked through the door holding bags of food and looked my arm

"I slipped in the shower and dislocated my shoulder" I said looking at her as Jon finally burst out laughing

I glared at him "sorry Clary but its funny" he said grabbing the bags off mom and putting them on the kitchen table

"Ignore him, are you okay sweetie?" Mom said walking to me

"I'm fine mom I'm just tired and my head feels a bit weird" I said

"The doctor gave her these painkillers" Jon said giving my mom the bottle

"Let's get you to bed" my mom said taking me to bed

"Okay" I said. Mom put me to bed and I fell asleep immediately
