Chapter 40 - Detention

Alec POV

"I knew you would fold" Clary said smirking at me so I thought I would use it to my advantage

"Fine yes I did fold, but it's not my fault have you ever tried not kissing you?" I said stepping closer to her

I bent my head down and whispered in her ear "its very hard to resist you know" before kissing her hard

She immediately kissed me back as I lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around my waist. I put her on the desk with her legs still around my waist and kissed down her neck

I broke apart and looked at her as she smiled at me and kissed me again. We were so caught up in the moment that we didn't notice two teachers walk in

"Detention!" Someone shouted as we quickly broke apart and Clary jumped off the desk.

We turned around to see Mr Garroway and Mrs Smith the maths teacher.

Mrs Smith shook her head at us "both of you detention today at 3:30 in the hall, we do not tolerate this behavior in school. I expected better of you Alexander" she walked out. Well my maths lessons were gonna suck now

"Are you going to tell my mom?" I heard Clary ask looking at Mr Garroway. Right he was going out with Jocelyn

"No I won't Clary but really I thought better of you, and you" he said looking at me

"Sorry" we both mumbled

"Apology accepted, now both of you go and don't let me catch you again" he said

"Yes sir" we said walking out

"Oh and Clary?"

"Yes?" She said turning around

"See me after class tomorrow I want to talk you about your mom" he said

"Umm okay" she replied as we walked out

"Weird, what do you think he wants?" She asked

"I don't know, maybe you're mom is serious about him" I replied and she shrugged her shoulders

We stayed in the library after that until 3:30 rolled around and then went to the detention room. I texted Jon telling him not to wait for us.

After what felt like the longest hour of my life detention was finally over and Mrs Smith let us go. We were both getting up when Mr Garroway came in

"Clary, Alec can I talk to you both?"

"Umm sure" we both said leaning on the desk

"I was going to talk to you both tomorrow but I thought best to do it now. As you know your mother and I have been dating for a while and we were both wondering how you would feel about me staying at your place a few days a week?"

"Well...I guess it would be okay I mean I think we can get over the weirdness after a while and as long as my mom is happy I guess sure I'm fine with it" Clary replied

"Agreed" I said nodding

"Great thank you for being so understanding about this. Oh and when were not in class you can call me Luke" he said and we both nodded

"Have you talked to my brother and Izzy yet?" Clary asked

"No I was hoping to catch them tomorrow" Luke replied

"Well we can call them and tell them to come now if you like I mean Alec and I need to get home somehow" Clary said

"What if I drop you home?" Luke said "then I can talk to Jonathan and Isabelle together"
