Chapter 42 - Jace and Kaelie

Alec POV

"Okay so Jace said that he saw Kaelie with another guy and he confronted her about it but then it was actually just her cousin and he came to visit her for a bit. Then Jace said fine but everytime she went out he asked where she was going and was a bit clingy so I told him to give her some space but he gave her too much space and basically fell off the face of the Earth for a bit. Then kaelie obviously called him because he ignored her for the past few days and now they just keep arguing with each other about whether they actually work well together and how they shouldn't be clingy. And they get annoyed at each other over the simplistic things like the other day Kaelie asked Jace to go to the mall with her and he asked why and then they started arguing about how whether they are seeing each other too much or too little and how maybe they should have time apart"

"Wow" Izzy said "so basically we get them in a room at school and tell Jace to stop being clingy and insecure and tell Kaelie to be a bit more patient and trusting with Jace"

"Yeah we can do it at lunch tomorrow" Clary said

"Yes tell me how it goes" Tessa said

"We will, by the way Tess when are you due?" Clary said

"couple weeks" she said "so around christmas time"

"Its so soon" I said

"Yeah that's why I'm waddling not walking" she said laughing

"We'll talk to you later Tess bye" Izzy and I both said

"Yeah by Tessa" Alec and Jon said

"Bye guys!" She said ending the video call

"Go to bed kids"Jocelyn shouted

"Okay mom" Clary called back

Alec POV

Everyone headed to their bedrooms. I got changed brushed my teeth and headed to Clary's room where she was just getting into bed. I got in next to her but it felt like I was sitting on something

"What wrong you're making a weird face?" She said

I stuck my hand under the cover and pulled out, a teddy bear?

I looked at for a minute before Clary quickly pulled the bear out of my hand and stuffed it under her pillow

"You have a teddy bear?" I said looking at her

"Well I used to have loads actually but I left them all in Miami, that was the only one I bought with me" she said

"Hmm" I replied "didn't think you were the type to own teddies" I said teasingly

And she just looked at me.

"Fine" she said "guess I'll just sleep on this side of the bed with my teddy instead" she said dramatically turning off the light and moving to the other side of the bed

I moved slightly closer grabbed her waist and pulled her back towards me. Although it was dark I could still her face looking at me

"I'm sorry okay?" I whispered pushing back a piece of her hair from her face

"Hmm okay, I guess you are probably better to cuddle with than a teddy" she said smiling and laughing a little. I smiled back

"Think we can help Jace and Kaelie tomorrow?" She asked

"Definitely" I replied "now go to sleep red" I said kissing her forehead and she gently rested her head on my chest as we both fell asleep
