I got Brynn and our things and walked outside the theater to see Weston with his head in his hands.
"Wes? What's wrong?" I asked as I touched his shoulder
He turned around with a smile as he cried, "I did it."
I raised an eyebrow.
"I got an offer from Alabama just now." He got out
My eyes got big and I threw my arms around his neck.
"Weston Hayes Johnson! I'm so proud of you." I yelled excitedly as he squeezed me tight
"Have you told your dad?" I asked him as I looked him in the eye
He shook his head, "I just found out like two seconds ago, I kinda wanted to tell you first. Come on let's get in the car."
"Alabama is too far though." Brynn frowned as Weston grabbed her hand
"Not really, but we don't have to worry about that right now." Weston assured her
Oh my gosh, my heart was melting seeing them hold hands and Brynn getting on Weston's back.
"B wants to eat at the mall." I told Weston as we walked through the parking lot
We all got into Weston's car which felt like heaven after being in freezing cold weather.
"So what's the top five now? For college." I asked him as he drove
"Top four actually, Clemson, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia. I thought about Mississippi, but in all honestly, Mississippi creeps me the hell out. I don't know what's best for me yet and it's so hard to narrow down just to one." Weston expressed
"What about you?" Weston asked me
I shrugged, "I don't want to be more than ten hours away from North Carolina, I want to dance in college, and I want the school to have good academics too. It might sound stupid but a good party and Greek life is important too. Oh, I think I want to major in business too so that's something to consider."
"What I think we should do is not pick colleges together and let's say in two months we need to tell each other our final pick because that's when I have to sign an initial signing contract to a school." Weston decided
I nodded in agreement. It was a good plan.
"When is the final signing date?" I asked Weston
"April." Weston answered
At least there were still a few months to get it together.
"What if we end up hours away from each other?" Weston bought up
Yeah, that was lingering on my mind too.
I grabbed his hand, "We're not breaking up regardless. I'll be damned to let you get away. I don't care if we're twenty miles or twenty hours away from each other, I'm not losing us again."
We ate at the mall, looked around for a bit, then headed back to Weston's house, then I drove back to my house, chilled out for a while, took a nap, and then started getting ready for the party.
I showered and then straightened my hair.
That took a solid hour and a half, so then I procrastinated for fifteen minutes before I started on my makeup.
For my outfit, I had on a taupe shoulder than hung off of one shoulder, blue skinny jeans, and taupe thigh high boots.
I hung out with my family for a little while before I headed to Weston's house around eight.
