The next day I decided to visit Yuri, since I was so bored after my touring yesterday.

Yuri's hotel was eight floors and had a brick design with vines growing up the side and large windows displaying the fairly large rooms and some of the guests in them. Every other room had a small balcony with two lounge chairs facing the city. I walked into the lobby and up to the small italian lady running the counter.

"May I help you?" The clerk asked as I approached her

"Yes, I would like to see Yakov please," I say, "I would like to see my friend, Plisetsky, Yakov's student."

"Room 798."

"Thank you," I say as I walk into the large elevator.

When I reached Yuri's room I could already hear his distinct yelling through the door.

"What do you mean 'she has to room with you!'"

"That means that since her coach has to leave early for Sweden she has to stay with you in your bed since she can't pay for her own room by herself! It is only for today and tomorrow, Yuri!"

"Whatever"

It goes silent as I knock on the door. Yuri opened the door so fast that it hit the wall with a loud 'BANG!'. Yakov walks past me, but whispers something into his ear quickly before he exits and closes the door swiftly behind me.

"What happened?" I asked as though I didn't know what was going on

"Look, I'm just going to lay this on flat," Yuri looks at me with a deadpan expression, "Your coach had a call last night from her 'fiance' she had said and had to return to Sweden that night. I conclude that you haven't seen her since yesterday night?"

"No," I say," And you sound like we are in some murder mystery."

"Anyway, she said that she had to pay everyday for the hotel room and so that they didn't kick you, she asked my coach if you could stay here for the next day and leave with us for Russia after the competition."

"Wait what?"

"I was just about to go over there and tell you to pack up and come over."

"I just unpacked.." I frowned

"Whatever."

"You are acting like a moody tee- wait. You are one."

"Hmph."

An hour or so later we returned to the room and played video games for a while and then talked a little.

"Thanks Yuri," I say as I turn off my Wii remote and place it on the coffee table

"For what?" Yuri says," Beating you at Mario Kart?"

"No, and I definitely beat you more times than you beat me," I say," Thank you for letting me stay with you. I know that you don't really want me here."

"I want you here," Yuri say blushing slightly, "Not like that! I don't really have a history of having many friends."

"I understand," I begin, "Back when I lived with my father in England, I had a hard time trying to get to know anybody, so the only people I had to talk to were the seven eleven-year-old boys my dad coached. Then, when I moved to Sweden, it was even worse and the only friend I had was Cammile."

"Hmm" Yuri ponders as he walks into the kitchen, "You're friends in England. Did you date them?"

"No!" I yell, "They were my friends!"
